"Contracts and Bonds"

The world you can see right now is not everything. Humans and living beings is not the only thing that existed in this world. Look into the darkness, and you will see the world that you have never seen, the world of Ghosts and Spirits, Kakuriyo. Ghosts and spirits wondered around earth from the beginning. Some of them are earth-bound spirits. Some of them are spirits that exists cause of hatred created when someone dies.

A 16 year old boy, Shinji Kageyama, did not believe that spirits and ghosts exists. He doesn't get scared if his friends tells him about ghost rumours cause he believed they don't exist. So his childhood is never disturbed by ghost rumours.

Meanwhile, at the Public Library...

"Kageyama, have you heard?" Hiro asked.

"Heard what?" Shinji asked.

"There's an old haunted mansion at the end of the road next to your house." Hiro answered.

"It's not haunted, it's just an old mansion that's left undisturbed." Shinji said.

"But it's true, some people went there and never came back outside." Hiro said.

"Fine then. I will go there and check it myself and prove that it's not haunted." Shinji said.

Shinji then left the library.

"This is bad." Hiro said.

"Ha! Haunted mansion they say, how did they believe that? Ghosts aren't real." Shinji said in confidence.

"I will go there and check it myself." Shinji said.

Shinji then arrived at the old haunted house.

The mansion was there since 1991. It's covered in moss and spider webs, it's so old it might break if there's a typhoon. Oddly, the mansion was never destroyed. During 2016, a construction team decided to break down the mansion to make a new park. but weirdly, the construction team stopped their work and went back to their place, the reporters asked why didn't they destroy the mansion, they said: "Somehow I feel eerie the moment we stepped on the fields of the mansion, when we decided to destroy the mansion, some mysterious force makes us unable to do it." The reporters didn't believe it and decided to let the mansion be until it gets destroyed itself. Years have passed, and nothing happened to the old mansion. The media forgot about this mansion and decided to leave it be. This old mansion used to be a rich family's mansion. But the rich family's daughter got killed during 2014. Through forensic research, the girl was raped and then got stabbed numerous times, there's even an attempt to strangle the girl. The police decided to investigate it, but the case was unsolvable. The police then decided to leave the case as "Unsolvable". The girl's parents from the rich family then got mad at the police for not being able to solve the case. The rich family then moved out of Japan to United Kingdom on December 2015.

There's even a rumour about the girl's ghost haunting this place due to her not dying peacefully.

Shinji then slowly opens the door, it was pitch dark inside of the house so he brought out his flashlight.

"How is this house still okay? It's like 25 years old. This house would be great for a hideout." Shinji said.

"Man this place is creepy, is this place really haunted?" Shinji said.

He then went upstairs and found a library.

"Oh a library, there might be some good books here to read!" Shinji said.

Suddenly, the torch lights were turned on automatically.

"Woah! did the torch lights turned on? I guess this house has electric lights. Wait, is there even electricity in this house?" Shinji wondered.

Shinji then checked the bookshelves and found some books about past histories, and he even found a book about this family's generation and how it started.

"I guess this rich family's popular." Shinji said as he stares at the book.

Suddenly, a girl's voice came out of nowhere; "Who are you?"

Shinji then feels shocked, "W-who's there?" Shinji said in fear.

"Is this house really haunted?" Shinji thinks.

Suddenly, a book fell down from the bookshelf. The book's cover has some unfamiliar words written on it.

"What's this book?" Shinji wondered.

He then opens the book slowly, and suddenly the book emitted a light ray, and something came out of the book.

Shinji then feels shocked, he tried to close the book but the book won't close itself, as if there's some force holding it open.

Suddenly, a mysterious voice that appeared just now appeared again; "Are you the one who summoned me?" The girl asked.

"Well then, since you're the one who opened this book, you'll now be in contract with me." the girl said.

"C-contract?" Shinji asked in fear.

"Yes, or just call it as a bond or connection between two worlds." the girl said.

The girl spirit then appeared completely,

The girl spirit is wearing a high school uniform that's from a school that has closed since 2 years ago.

"W-who are you?" Shinji asked.

"I am Kosaki Sakura, a girl spirit that haunts this place." Kosaki answered.

"So spirits are real?" Shinji said.

"Yes, even though you didn't believe it, it's real and it exists." Kosaki said.

"And now you are in contract with a spirit. Are you happy?" Kosaki asked.

"What contract? I don't understand this!" Shinji said.

"It's a contract between the living and the dead. By signing the contract, I am now bound to you and you're my vessel, which means I can control your body by possessing your body for 10 minutes depending on the vessel's spiritual power capacity." Kosaki said.

"So I'm now stuck with a spirit?" Shinji asked.

"Yes, and now I can get out of this old mansion because I'm bound to you." Kosaki answered.

"Come on, let's get out of this stupid mansion, I've been waiting for years to get out of this." Kosaki said.

"O-oh, sure.." Shinji said.

They both then went out of the mansion.

"Yay! I miss this fields so much, it's still green!" Kosaki said excitedly.

"Wait are you an earth-bound spirit by any chance?" Shinji asked.

"Oh? You didn't believe in spirits and yet you knew about that?" Kosaki asked back.

"Just because I didn't believe it doesn't mean I don't know the things about it." Shinji answered.

"Yes, I am an earth-bound spirit, why did you ask?" Kosaki answered.

"Doesn't that mean you're the girl who got killed on 2014?" Shinji asked.

".....yes. I am the girl who got killed during 2014, and I want to find out who killed me! That's why I stayed here for years, trying to find someone to sign the contract and bring me to the outside world! So please, help me find out who killed me!" Kosaki answered.

"How did you forget about the killer's face?" Shinji asked.

"He stabbed me at the back numerous times, so I didn't have the chance to see his face." Kosaki said.

"I see.." Shinji said.

"Also, since you're my vessel, only you can see, hear and interact with me. So don't face me when you're talking with me, cause it might make people think you're an insane guy." Kosaki said.

"Oh, okay." Shinji said.

"Anyways, what about we find who's the one who killed you? There might be some spirits who knew about him!" Shinji asked.

Kosaki then cries a little in joy.

"Okay, thank you!" Kosaki answered.

"My name's Shinji Kageyama by the way." Shinji said.

"Alright, Shinji!" Kosaki said.

"Well then, let's start investigating." Shinji said.

They both then leave the fields of the mansion, and went to find out who killed Kosaki.
