6 Chapter 6

(Alexander POV):

Lunchtime had finally arrived, a moment I yearned for dearly. Back in my homeschooling days, I could munch on snacks whenever I pleased, but now I had to patiently wait until the lunch hour. As hunger gnawed at my stomach, Arthur and I walled forth to secure ourselves some seats.

Arthur grabbed my shoulder and said, "There's that girl who recently joined the school with us . I remember her name is Bella. Why don't we go sit with her? There seem to be a few vacant seats nearby, and I recognize a couple of classmates we've encountered in our previous classes."

As we made our way towards the table, I activated my keen observation haki, scanning the surroundings for any signs of the other vampires. So far, there was no trace of them. However, a quick sweep of the school revealed that they were gathered together, likely making their way towards our location in the couple of minutes.

Arthur asked, "Would it be alright if we joined you guys at this table?"

Jessica replied with a friendly smile, "Of course! I'm Jessica, and these are Angela, Eric, Mike, and your fellow transfer student, Bella."

Arthur introduced himself, "I'm Arthur, and this is..."

Before he could finish, my brother nudged me, signaling that it was my turn to introduce myself. I settled down in my seat and said, "I'm Alexander, and it's a pleasure to meet all of you."

As we settled into our seats and exchanged introductions, the double doors of the cafeteria swung open dramatically, as if straight out of a movie. It seemed like we had entered a universe where everything was heightened and dramatic.

My observation haki remained active, allowing me to instantly recognize the newcomers who had arrived. There were a total of six of them, making their presence known.

Bella:"Who are they?"

Angela: "The Cullens."

Then I overheard Jessica talking to them closely. She was discussing how they were all adopted by Doctor Cullens and his wife. They moved down here from Alaska two years ago. She mentioned that they were in relationships with each other, except for two of them. It made me chuckle when she said that "I'm not sure if it was legal or not."

Then, when she started to explain who each other was, she made a comment about someone called Alice being weird. I saw a couple of auras change color. A few of the Cullens turned a little red, and one turned a little blue. The blue one must be Alice. I need to memorize their auras since I can't remember their heartbeats to know who is who.

Suddenly, the last two Cullens came through the doors. I felt both of them looking in our direction for a moment.

Bella: "Who are the last two?"

Jessica: The last two are Edward and Edythe. They said they are twins themselves. Something Arthur and Alexander have in common with them. Both of them are single as they haven't found anyone good enough for them. I saw Eric try to make a move, but he was shot down quickly by Edythe on the first day she was here."

Eric: "Hey, now! Don't bring up my dark past. You make it sound like I flirt with every girl who comes to this school."

Jessica: "Sure, you don't. I bet you dessert that you try to do the same with Bella here. Should I ask her?"

Eric: "Nope, carry on, my queen. Your subject will listen without complaints."

I just listen to them and answer questions that they ask me about what it's like being blind. During that time, I still felt like we were being stared at from where the Cullens' table was, so I turned my head in their direction. If they keep looking at me like that, I don't mind using them as my moving practice dummies for my gravity abilities.

(Edward POV):

Edythe was telling me how she was going to get close to Arthur, who is her mate, by first getting to know his brother, Alexander, since they are so close together as we walked through the doors.

Then, when we went through, I looked at the table where Alexander and Arthur were sitting so as not to miss them. I started to try to read their mind at the table with the others there, but surprise, there were two people there whom I couldn't see in their minds. It was Alexander and a new girl. I heard her name being called Bella from the girl next to her.

We started to walk to our table and set down. I kept looking at those two for a few minutes before Edythe snapped me out of it.

Edythe: "What's up with you? If you keep staring at them, they'll think you're even weirder than you actually are. Don't do anything to scare Arthur or his brother."

"Nothing's wrong, just lost in my own thoughts."

Alice: "You must be thrilled to finally put your plan into action, huh Edythe? How can I lend a hand?"

Edythe: "I just need your assistance in building a connection between Alexander, Arthur, and myself. I noticed you skipped gym class this morning, which they have at the same time. It would be a fantastic idea for you to strike up a conversation with them and get to know them, especially Alexander, since he'll likely be sitting out the entire time. You tend to sit out as well, so you might have something in common."

Alice: "I can definitely do that. Perhaps I can develop a strong friendship with your future brother-in-law."

Jasper: "What are you two discussing?"

Alice: "We're discussing a plan for Edythe to establish a connection with her potential mate, Arthur. She wants me to first build a friendship with his brother, who is close to Arthur, to make it easier for them to meet in the future."

Rosalie: "So, that's her mate, huh? Both of them are quite attractive, even if one of them is visually impaired. You've got yourself a catch there, Edythe. Isn't that right, Emmett?"

Emmett: "They sure are, and it seems like they're quite fit. I wouldn't mind going head-to-head with them in a competition. Even though his brother may be blind, he seems to handle weights pretty well."

"Are you certain about this? Once he undergoes the transformation, he won't be able to maintain close ties with his family."

Edythe: "Yes, I'm certain. Unlike you, I'm willing to be patient and let him make his own choices after he separates from his family or even consider turning his brother alongside him, given their strong bond. However, that conversation is for the future. I'm not in a hurry to turn him; I can wait for now."

Alice: "Everything will work out in the end. Trust me."

After conversing for a while, the lunch bell rings, signaling the end of our break, and we make our way back to class. The plan is set to take effect tomorrow morning. Now, we are prepared to get through the rest of the day, promising to keep our mouths shut if we happen to have classes with them. At the same time, they didn't know the same guy they were talking about was listening to them the whole time...
