3 Chapter 3

Leah Clearwater POV:

We just finished cleaning the house from top to bottom as we are preparing for my mom's friend and her two sons to stay for a week. Just what I needed, having extra hormone-driven boys in the house during the last week of school vacation. They better not try to flirt with me, or I will show them that I'm not interested, especially after what happened last year with Sam breaking up with me and pursuing my cousin Emily.

( Author's note: They really didn't give a time frame when this happened. I am just going along with the info of Sam and Emily being a year older than her. That Sam disappeared during his senior year while she was junior.)

I don't understand why he did that. I believed he loved me. He vanished for over two weeks during my junior year and returned as a different person. Then he showed up while my cousin Emily was visiting and broke up with me that same night.

Sometime last year, something happened to Emily, and she was attacked by a bear. While she was in the hospital, Sam and she grew closer. I knew this because Emily eventually informed me that they would be starting a relationship. I felt betrayed and started to despise them both.

Sue: "Leah, get down here with your brother. They will be here soon!"

"Be right there, Mom! Come on, Seth, Mom is calling us down."

Seth: "Alright, I'm excited to have more guys here. I hope they like video games. We can hang out and even do an all-nighter."

"You can probably do with one of them. Mom said one of her friends' sons is blind."

Seth: "Hey, he can still play games. I'll be his eyes. We will be a team against his brother."

"Just don't embarrass us too much, or I'll tell them that you got dropped on your head too many times. That's why you act like this."

Sue: "Hurry up, you two!"

"We are coming down now."

Descending the stairs, we ventured outside. As we stepped outside, our eyes were immediately drawn to a car gracefully parked near the house. Emerging from the vehicle, our mother's dear friend appeared first, followed closely by her two sons. One of the boys, unmistakably blind, skillfully maneuvered with a lengthy cane that gently grazed the earth beneath his feet as he walked toward us.

While Mom and her friend started to talk with our dad, my brother jumped in to talk to the boys as I watched.

Alexander POV:

We have arrived at Clearwater House. Once we got out of the car, I started to use my Observation Haki to navigate towards their house.

I noticed our mother went straight to her friend and started to talk to her friend and her friend's husband. I changed my direction to their two children. I saw one with an aura/ emotion that is excitement, kind, and cheerful. The other one seemed sad, angry, and mixed with irritation, but not directed towards us.

Seth: "Hey there, you two. My name is Seth, and this stick-in-the-mud-looking girl is my older sister, Leah."

Arthur: "Nice to meet you both. My name is Arthur, and this is my twin brother, Alexander."

Seth: "Ouch, why did you hit me, Leah?"

Leah: "Who are you calling a stick-in-the-mud-looking girl? Go help Arthur with their stuff as I stay with Alexander."

Seth: "Alright, you guys need help?"

Arthur: "Sure, we can use a hand. Alex, stay here and get to know Leah."

While those two are going to the car as they talk to each other. I felt Leah looking at me from top to bottom. I better start talking.

Leah: " What name do you prefer to be called Alexander or Alex?"

"Either one is fine by me. If you don't mind, can you show me around your house to get used to the layout?"

"Then I will call you Alex then. Sure, let me take your hand, and I'll show you around."

Leah took my hand and started to lead me into her house. Her hand was warm and soft. I couldn't help but want to keep touching it as she took me from room to room, except for their bedrooms, to familiarize myself with the layout. I could sense the whole layout, but I needed an excuse to justify wanting to know the layout to move around to do that without help.

Leah let go of my hand, and I felt a slight disappointment. It's a shame they didn't have a bigger house.

Leah: "That's it. Let me or my brother know if you need help navigating around."

"I will do that. Speaking of brothers, I wonder where they are?"

Leah: "Knowing my brother, he most likely dragged your brother into his room to play games."

"Now you said that . I can hear them laughing and the video game playing. We better go mess up with their gaming. "

We hung out in her brother's room, anders later on, both our moms came in and told us dinner was ready. We had dinner and talked until it was time to go to bed.

The next morning, I woke up with a kick to the face from my brother. He really needs to fix his sleeping habits. I moved his foot out of the way and got up.

I used my Observation Haki to see if anyone else was awake, but it was only me. Since I was the only one, I got dressed and quietly snuck outside to exercise. Once I was done, I went to take a shower. I undressed and was about to start the shower when the bathroom door opened.

Shit, I forgot to lock the door. Right when I was about to say, "I'm in here," fate had a different plan as it made Leah open the door. She stood there for a moment, and I could feel her giving my body a good look before she quickly shut the door.

Leah: "Why didn't you lock the door!?"

"I'm sorry, I thought I did!"

This is going to be a long week...
