16 Team Girl Power + Zan 7

I plummeted towards the mail chutes from hundreds of feet up, yet despite that massive drop and despite being deathly afraid of heights before I was reborn, all I felt was excitement thrumming in my veins and butterflies in my stomach.

Just as I was about fifty feet from going splat I used the jet propulsion technique again, fire erupting from the bottom of my feet at halting my fall in moments. I shot myself forward and let go of the technique, dropping the last way down into one of the mail chutes.

Unlike Azula, I had no mail box to ride down in, so I found myself sprinting down the steep winding stone mail chutes.

Not that it was any slower mind you. My speed with a dexterity rating of twenty eight point six, could only be described as blinding. I was running fast enough to easily outpace a speeding car.

As I ran down, I noticed a massive plume of smoke on chute in front of me and jumped over it, throwing myself forward through the air with jet propulsion again.

"Zan!?" Azula went wide eyed as she saw me pass her by from where she stood on a large rocky pillar that was jutting out of the mail chute she'd been riding down.

Gained 1 Reputation with Azula.

I ignored her, shooting right past her, I could always attribute me ignoring her to not hearing her over the roar of the flames from my feet.

I propelled myself down at twice the speed I was running at, and it didn't take me long to reach the bottom, where I could see a familiar metal coffin standing upright on a rocky outcrop at the end of the chute, and another familiar orange and yellow clad bald boy standing in front of it.

"You!" Aang snapped into a fighting position, levelling his staff at me as I landed beside him and Bumi, "You're with that crazy blue fire using girl!"

I raised my hands into the air, "Don't worry Aang, I'm not here to fight you." I said.

"Ooh, now things are getting interesting!" Bumi snorted, apparently not taking my appearance seriously. Which was to be expected, because he could bust out of there at any point and rinse my ass as he pleased.

"How do you know my name?" Aang lowered his staff, but didn't relax.

"Spirit shenanigans," I replied simply, and waved my hand. And suddenly, there was a throne behind me, which I sat in, "A dragon spirit specifically."

"..Is that a throne!?" Aang gaped at me, "How did you do that?"

"Is that my throne?" Bumi asked, actually stopping his crazy giggles for a moment.

"It is. It was, now it's mine. As for how I did that? Well, it ties into how I know your name." I replied relaxing into my awesome new throne, "As a child I was possessed by a dragon spirit that was angry about the dragons being hunted to extinction. A very powerful dragon spirit that knew the future, in the process, when it eventually left me, I kept some of its abilities, and some of the visions it had of the future." I may have rushed over the background information. Because honestly, spouting your background to people all anime like, even in an anime setting, is just so chuuni to me. But needs must and all that other crap.

"..Huh well isn't that something?" Bumi gave a snort of laughter.

"..Does...does that mean you're here to help me?" Aang looked at me hopefully, buying it fully. He was more focused on me knowing his name and seeking him out without wanting to fight, rather than the bullshit I just spouted about getting a dragon spirits abilities because it possessed me as a kid. It's still a bit weird I can say crap like that and not get thrown in a padded room wearing a restraint jacket.

"Somewhat," I shrugged, "I can't come with you, since well I've got things I need to do I can't do if I'm travelling with you, despite how helpful that good friend of yours Appa would be. But, I can offer you some advice to help you."

"Oh," the young boy looked down sadly, "...Seems all anyone can do for me is give me advice." the kid looked like a kid puppy.

I sighed, and a moment later, a bag of coins was in my hand, "Here, catch." I said.

"What's this?" Aang asked as he caught it, peering inside it.

"fifty earth nation gold pieces," I replied idly, "From what I saw, you and your friends tend to have some money problems, that should keep you set and fed for a while."

It took one hundred copper pieces to value a silver piece, and one hundred silver pieces to equal a gold one. That bag I just gave him, was enough to feed a family of four for a year by my estimates at the very least.

"Eh?" Aang looked down wide eyed at the coins in the bag, "This is a lot of money...are you sure about this?"

"It's fine, I've got plenty more," I waved it off, well a hundred more, but I can easily pilfer shit of value from the governor should I please, actually, I might do that actually, stupid cunt thinking he can threaten me, "Anyway, the first piece of advice I have for you, is when you meet Wang Shi Tan, don't steal anything from him. You'll cause a whole mess of problems if you do for Korra in the future?"

"Who's Wang Shi Tan? Who's Korra?" Aang's face drew up in confusion.

"The knowledge spirit," Bumi piped up helpfully, "He who knows ten thousand things."

"Yeah him, and as for Korra, well assuming things go the same, then she's the avatar that will come after you when you die," I replied, before grinning at him, "A real babe that's for sure."

"..The next Avatar?" Aang blinked, looking to have trouble accepting what he was being told.

"Yeah, by the way, are all Avatar girls as hot as her?" I asked, "I mean I've seen Kiyoshi and Yangchen from the visions I got, but they were always dressed up in really baggy and covering clothes and Kiyoshi has her face painted."

"What, the three pretty girls you were with not enough for you kid?" Bumi asked with a snicker.

I ignored him as Aang spluttered, "I-I don't know, I've never met any of them."

"Oh well," I shrugged, I'll find out one day I'm sure, "Either way, make sure you don't piss off Wan Shi Tong or any powerful spirits actually. It isn't that long until the Grand Convergence, and if you piss some specific spirits of, they may release the much more powerful counterpart spirit that makes you the Avatar, Vaatu."

(Grand Quest Gained!)

(Make Sure Vaatu never has the chance to escape from his prison! Or, if he should escape, defeat him once and for all!)

Are you fucking with me right now?

Aang shivered at the name, "..Something about that name makes me really nervous."

I noticed Bumi's joking atmosphere fade and he narrowed his eyes at him, regarding me truly and seriously, "Vaatu is the spirit of chaos and darkness. Because of the first Avatar, Wan, he grew much more powerful than his counterpart, forcing Wan to fuse with that counterpart, Raava the spirit of light and order, creating the Avatar line."

"I see..Wan huh?" Aang frowned, dropping onto his backside. He was silent for a few moments, before looking up at me, "But how does that help me right now? As great as it is you're looking out for the next Avatar, I kind of need all the help I can get."

"I'm getting to that part kid, don't rush me," I admonished him, getting a quick apology from him. I held a finger up, "One, you'll find your earth bending teacher soon. But you'll have trouble with Earth, the mindset needed to bend it requires you to be headstrong and willing to challenge anything that comes your way head on from what I can gather, as an Airbender, it's your polar opposite."

I rose a second finger, "Two, if you spend too much time with Wan Shi Tong, Appa will be stolen from you, but you can rest easy knowing he'll be taken to Ba Sing Se by a certain asshole to lure you there," I told him, "So tell your friend Sokka this. The darkest day in Fire Nation history, it's a solar eclipse, and when it happens, for just about ten minutes, all fire benders will lose the ability to bend fire."

"What, what slow down!" Aang jumped up and held his hands up, "I can't follow all this."

I rolled my eyes, but went over it a bit slower for him, even the date of the day of black sun, "Did you understand that?" I asked. I didn't bother mentioning to him that the fire nation was well prepared for that day coming though. It would be better for him in the end. I can't just always hold his hand. And well, if I fuck things up, I'll fix it in the future, somehow.

"Yeah..mostly," Aang nodded, but he looked stressed as all hell, "...Is there anything else?"

"Just one more thing," I stood up from my throne and deposited it back into my inventory and made my way over. Aang blinked as I lay a hand on his bald head gently, "Hang tough alright? I know how tough this is for you, I've saw it, but if you trust your gut and keep doing the best you can, everything will work out in the end for you."

He ducked his head, a small flush on his cheeks, "..Thanks."

"No problem, now you better hurry before Azula comes running down to find us both," I told him, releasing my hold on his head and turning to walk away, I paused before I did though, and looked over my shoulder at him, "Oh and about Zuko. He's really confused about what is right and what is wrong, his father has poisoned an otherwise very kind person. Once he finally understands, there's a good chance he'll seek you out to help you, and when you get his loyalty as a friend, you'll have a friend for a life time willing to go to any length to protect you. Just make sure to give him a bit of a break when he's Fire Lord okay? He's going to be the most hated man in the world once you defeat Ozai. And let me tell you, his job is going to be a lot harder than yours as the Avatar is."

"...What?" Aang looked at me in utter befuddlement.

"You'll understand in the future, now off you go to your friends." I waved him off.

The young boy stared at me for a few moments, before bowing his head, "I'm still having a lot of trouble processing all this, but thanks, really!" He turned, flaring out his staff and was just about to jump into the air, but paused and turned back looking sheepish, "Oh yeah, what's your name?"

"It's Zan." I snorted.

"Right, thanks for everything Zan!" he bowed again, before jumping into the air, "I'll see you both later, Zan! Bumi!" and glided off through the air.
