He slammed his fist into Azula's previous position, a small wave of flame scorching the grass, but missing Azula entirely a she sprang backwards, lifting her leg up and kicking up as she fell backwards unleashing an arc of blue flame.

Like a bull-tiger, Zan threw up a forearm and charged right through the flame, ignoring it as it parted around and burned into him.

Azula clearly wasn't expecting such a tactic, and Ty Lee could understand, because for most, that was a lethal attack and he charged right into it without pausing. He grabbed Azula by the foot while she was still transitioning backwards with a surge of speed one wouldn't think someone of his powerful, stocky build would be able to accomplish.

He lifted Azula right into the air with one arm, before bringing her down hard, slamming her into the ground. Azula gave a shout of pain from the impact, but showing her true grit and strength she didn't let that stop her from lashing out with her other foot now in blue flames, thrusting it at his stomach and unleashing a large compressed stream of bright sapphire blue flame.

It seared into Zan's torso, burning right through the sleeveless top he was wearing. Ty Lee's heart leapt into her throat, and she would have dashed forward on instinct if Mai's hand on her shoulder pulling her back didn't stop her. But showing his own grit, Zan gave a shout of his own and spun rapidly like a spinning top, dragging Azula with him and letting go. Azula shrieked as she flew through the air like an arrow and slammed into a tree just a bit in front of Ty Lee and Mai hard enough to crack the bark.

With a pained gasp, Azula fell to the ground clutching her back, "Did you really think I let you know everything I could do?" Zan bared his teeth as he mocked Azula, and all three girls went wide eyes as he pulled the remains of his shirt off with one hand, baring his torso to them all.

"I-impossible!" Azula stuttered.

And despite the situation, Ty Lee was right there with her. Because, the only damage on him at all, was a large circular patch of burnt and blistered red skin. That attack Azula unleashed would have seared right through anyone else. He had a horrible wound sure, but he should be dead!

"No, just outside of your expectations," Zan grinned at her, "See, I never told you this. But back when I was a kid, I got possessed by a dragon spirit that was spitting mad at your family for hunting all the dragons to extinction, you're lucky it couldn't linger long in the real world because the spirit portals are blocked, but when it left, I kept a bunch of its abilities, hell, do you wanna know something funny? I wasn't even born a fire bender, I only got my bending abilities because of it!"

He pointed at the downed princess his grin stretching further, "Not only that, but the stronger my own fire bending becomes, the more resistant I become to fire itself, that's why your precious blue fire can barely scratch me!"

'That's way more than a scratch.' Ty Lee thought worriedly, eyeing his stomach. Quite frankly she didn't even know how he was still standing.

"...So what!?" Azula spat out as she slowly rose to her feet, she spread her fingers through the air and began winding her arms, "That just means I have to use something other than fire then!" the very air vibrated and the smell of ozone invaded Ty Lee's nostrils as blue light began sparking into existence along Azula' arms.

'Lightning bending!' Ty Lee gasped in shock and a little awe, even she a non bender had heard the whispered and legendary tales of it. Lightning generation was the pinnacle of fire bending, only the greatest of master fire benders could do it, and in recent history, those who could, had been only those of the royal family. Azula really was a step above everyone else wasn't she? To be capable of generating lightning when she was just the same age as Ty Lee herself!

Dread and worry consumed Ty Lee. A single hit of that and he would die!

Mai too couldn't maintain her usual calm composure, staring wide eyed at the lightning, and Ty Lee felt the hand on her shoulder go slack.

"Lightning huh? Bring it on bi-" Zan merely began taunting her, only to go wide eyed and stare in shock as Ty Lee was suddenly by Azula's side, driving a barrage of quick jabs into her side, cutting off her chi points and dropping the princess once more to the ground, her body completely limp and the sparking lightning disappearing.

'When did I get here?' Ty Lee wondered idly as she stared down at her friend on the ground beneath her. Her body had just moved without her consciously thinking at all, the worry for Zan getting the best of her.

"Ty Lee?" Zan asked staring at her wide eyed.

"..Ty Lee." Mai groaned, palming her face.

"TY LEE!" Azula roared angrily from her position on the ground, "How dare you, you bitch! Finally showing your true colours you..you little circus whore! I should have known, you were always lingering around him, whispering and giggling in his ear! This is all your doing isn't it!?" wide, crazy glinting gold eyes glared murderous intentions her way and Ty Lee felt her body lock up.

'Oh Agni what have I done?' she panicked internally. She had committed treason! She was a traitor now, like General Iroh and Zuko. Only worse, she had attacked the heir to the throne!

"I'll have your head for this, do you hear me Ty Lee!!!" Azula continued snarling and shouting even from her prone position, "Traitors like you don't die easy deaths! I'll flay you! I'll chop off your limbs! I'll boil those pretty little eyes of yours and feed them to a wolf-bat! You'll rue the day you ever thought you could turn on me and bite the hand that feeds you, you mangy, flea ridden mutt of a whore!"

Tears formed at the corner of Ty Lee's eyes. She didn't know what to do! Should she run? Her eyes went to Mai who was staring at her slack jawed, yet holding a knife between her fingers at the ready in case she made a move at her!

'What do I do?' she panicked. Even if she ran, what could she do? There was nowhere she could go and not be found!

"Right, enough of this." Zan broke her from her panic induced thoughts when he walked over and bodily picked Azula up and set her up against the tree.

"Unhand me you traitorous peasant swine!" Azula sneered, unleashing a breath of blue flame flashed into existence and disappeared just as quickly when Zan's hand clamped over her mouth. Azula screamed into his hand and began tearing at his flesh with her teeth.

Zan winced and wrenched his hand back, the palm blistered and burnt, and leaking blood, "You're a psycho you know that?" he said, shaking his hand a bit.

"Shut up!" Azula snarled, "I thought you were different!" she then suddenly sobbed a bit, and Ty Lee felt horrible to see tears of her own budding in Azula's eyes. She'd never seen Azula anywhere close to crying.

"I am different," Zan sneered at her, crouching down so he was level with her and looking her right in the eyes, "It's you that isn't. I was never interested in you at all for your position as the heir to the fire nation, I'll put that out here now. I was quite willingly to get to know you better and see what sparked. But relationships are a two way street, I'm not some little servant you can can order around, I'm the strongest thing this world will ever see, not even the Avatar will compare to me someday soon."

"What are you babbling about!?" Azula sneered at him through teary eyes, "You should be grateful a princess like me took an interest in you. But you've just been making googly eyes at that cow titted bitch over there!" her golden eyes swept back to glare daggers at Ty Lee.

"And you proved my point, you are incapable of properly loving someone until you get over yourself and those issues your pathetic loser of a father brainwashed you with because he's scared your mother cucked him and that Zuko isn't his son." Zan fired back.

'What?' Ty Lee blinked at the sudden turn of events.

"What..?" Mai deadpanned.

"WHAT!?" Azula screamed, "How dare you talk about my esteemed father like that! He is the Fire Lord, show some respect!"

"How about no?" Zan pat Azula's cheek mockingly, "I'm not going to show respect to a pathetic loser of a man who would willingly kill his own son just to become Fire Lord."

Azula went wide eyed, "..How do you know that?"

"I know a lot of things," Zan shrugged, "For instance, let me tell you this. Despite what you may think, you are not a monster." his voice was soft, and kind as he said it, completely different to the attitude he was displaying with her.

"I think it's best if we stay apart for a bit, and I think you need some time to think things over," he pat her cheek and stood up, "Though do make sure if you put a bounty poster out for me, that it's worth a ton, make me infamous, and give me a cool name while you're at it. Like Dragon Fist Zan or something like that."

Azula just continued to stare at him wide eyed. To Ty Lee, she looked as if the whole world had been uprooted beneath her and she couldn't process anything. And honestly, Ty Lee was completely lost. How did what she just did, turn into something like this.

So lost in her own thoughts was she, Ty Lee didn't notice until it was to late when Zan stood up, turning to face her and hooked own arm around her waist and threw her up over his shoulder.

Ty Lee yelped in shock. "Hey, what are you doing?"she asked.

Zan merely shrugged, "You can't stay here either since you attacked Azula by jumping in to protect me," he said, "I'm flattered that you did, even if I already learned how to deal with lightning mind you. But it's the thought that counts."

He shifted, and Ty Lee, hanging over his shoulder had her eyes on Azula who was just staring at Zan's broad back with glazed over eyes.

"Are you gonna try and stop us?" Zan asked.

She heard Mai sigh and looked up over her backside to see her gloomy friend clutching a knife in her hand, "..No, there's no point. If Azula couldn't stop you, no way I can," she shrugged, "Besides, I can't go trying to stop you when I need to make sure Azula is okay."

"She'll either break completely or come out of this stronger than she ever has been before," Zan replied, he shifted around to look at Azula, coincidentally, positioning Ty Lee face to face with Mai, "I'm hoping for the second option and I'm looking forward to seeing if she does."

"You sure know how to pick em, don't you?" Mai drawled at her and Ty Lee could do nothing but shrug, at this point, her emotions were in a complete mess and she was completely lost.

But well, that was an understatement.

"Well, see ya." Zan lifted a hand in a wave, before suddenly he was running towards the tree line and jumping dozens of feet into the air using his powerful muscular legs. Butterflies wiggled in Ty Lee's stomach as flame erupted from his feet, propelling them higher and faster through the air and away from Mai, Azula and the tank train.

...And all her clothes!

She rose a hand and waved idly down at Mai as they flew higher and higher, 'Today really has been crazy.'

Wait, did Zan just technically kidnap her?
