2 Chapter 1 - 1st World: Reality

I decided to acquaint myself with my status to see how good the system rates me when the first thing I see when I open it is the following.

{Name: Bennett Lucus(Ben)

Title: NERDDDD!!! (+1 to INT and WIZ but more likely to be picked on by jerks)}

As I look at this title I instantly returned to the main menu to ask it a few questions.

'Can I only have 1 title?'

{Host can have only 1 title at a time when a new one is generated the host gets to chose which one they want to keep}

'what does it mean by more likely to be picked on by jerks?'

{people who do not care about you and are thinking about picking on you will have an increased urge to act on it, the less they care about you, the stronger the urge, please note that all titles have some type of an effect that could be thought of as a negative}

The systems quick and precise answers quelled my anger and I turned back to the status. After a few more rounds of questioning, I found out a few things. I seem to be the best in my Mathematical and Life skill trees, and while the system just records my status and doesn't give me any boons, just being able to see it is a big bonus. Not to mention that it seems to give a bonus 10 world energy per every skill level I have. Noting that I have 910 I decide to open the shop and see if there is anything worth buying in there.

{World Essense System Shop}

{Reincarnation Destination}

{Items & Abilities}

{World Essense Shop}

Seeing the options I open the World Essense shop noting that I won't be able to buy anything right now from there because it costs World Essense, but I can make a plan for the future.

{World Essense Shop: As the missions of this world are targeted around the EU, US, Russia, and China, the system bonuses have been made with each one representing a different nation}

{Drinking Endurance(Russia), ability, no amount of alcohol can ever make you anymore then slightly drunk and the other negative effects of alcohol will be completely ignored.

Cost: 10% World Essense}

{Multi-Cultural(EU): bonus, +2 to WIS and a bonus level in all of the following(giving a new skill if it wasn't there before, English, French, German, Italian, Greek, Russian, Spanish)

Cost: 25% World Essense}

{Technological Marvel(US): bonus, +8 to INT and a bonus level too three different skills in either the Mathematical or Technology and Engineering categories

Cost: 35% World Essense}

{Strength in Numbers(China): ability, with enough people anything is possible, this ability gives a bonus of 1% of each person's top stat while working with them, in order to be considered working with them you must be in the same sub-group, such as a group of 3 for a class project, or your squad/patrol in the military, groups like platoons made up of subgroups don't count, the power is also only active when actively working with them.

Cost: 35% World Essense}

I loved both the Technological Marvel and the Multi-Cultural bonuses for there bonus stats and skills, however, if I had to choose which could be the most powerful, it would have to be the Strength in Numbers ability, while very situational, there are definitely times it would come it use. I decided to get the Multi-Cultural bonus first because it would probably be the most useful in the political field the system seemed to be trying to drag me into, followed by Technological Marvel and finally Strength in Numbers, if I can get enough World Essense.

Following that, I opened the Items and Abilities shop and found that it had many different things to buy, there were items like temporary stat boosts that could increase your stats for around an hour costing around 3,000 points depending on the exact boost, as well as more complicated items like the Universal Translator, which would translate languages back and forth with set skill levels costing in the millions to billions. However, what amazed me the most of all the items were the blueprints and books, the blueprints had everything from the most precise scale to a Dyson Sphere, all of them sporting at least Advanced tier quality.

When I entered Abilities I found lots of Abilities for varying prices, and even the worst one had its uses, such as an ability called Insane Sanity, giving you split personalities with one of them having all of your mental diseases, which honestly sounds like it's worse than it is good for me, but for some people that might be a godsend. In the end, I found an item called hormone implant, giving a set bonus amount of points in one stat at a time, taking an hour to change the effected stat, the lowest tiered version gives only a single additional point, but for me that is 2% of my total stats, and can be added to whatever I need it for at the time, costing 500 points, while the next upgrade for it that I wanted gives 5 additional points and costs 5,000 to upgrade.

I spent the points and don't really feel like anything is happening. However, when I close the system I see an option pop up asking me which stat I would currently like to have it contribute to. I decide to pick STR to test it out and I see a 1:00:00 timer start, at first I don't feel anything happening, but I soon noticed my arms seems to be slightly more toned than they usually are, it seems that I will have to wait an hour for the full effect to kick in, I turned it to INT and the timer resets and I saw the slight toning on the arms quickly fade back to normal. I looked at the timer and see that it is 5:58. I hurriedly woke my three friends up because Endgame started at 7:30, we all rushed to prepare ourselves and eat breakfast and ended up reached the movie theater around 15 minutes early.

We all started to guess what was going to happen, we started geeking out and ended up arguing about the possibility of the creators of the infinity stones appearing, and what would happen to all of those who were snapped. As that happened I got a feeling that the system had a notice for me, I ignored it until we got into the theaters and the trailers started and I got an opportunity to close my eyes.

{You have qualified for the title of geek because you are qualified for both nerd and geek you also gain qualification for the culturally intelligent title}

{Geek: title, +1 INT and CHA, but more likely to be picked on by jerks}

{Culturally Intelligent: title, +2 INT & +1 to CHA and WIS, but more likely to be picked on for doing what you like}

'System, what does more likely to be picked on for doing what you like mean'

{It means that people who don't share that interest will be more compelled to pick on you, regardless of their usual friendliness, however, it will not force them to pick on you meanly, if they are friends they are more likely to pick on you in a friendly way.}

After hearing that I immediately chose Culturally Intelligent, it combines the bonuses of both titles and the only additional negative is that my friends are more likely to jokingly pick on me which they already do anyway. Afterward, I opened my eyes and saw hawkeye with his family in a flashback. In a couple of hours, I had a few tears at the edges of my eyes, and my friends did too.
