7 The Date

CHAPTER 7

Her eyes bulged open, staring right back at him, she replied.

"What did you just say? I, I should go on a date with you?"

To say she was stunned was an understatement, this was the first time a boy, an handsome one at that and one she really liked was asking her out, she was dumbfounded and tempted to accept his request immediately, but something in her compelled her to hold back and give him a tough time.

Looking up shyly, she opened her lips to say something when he countered her by raising his large strong hands up in a bid to silence her.

"Yes, and i am not taking no for an answer, love." he said again cutting her off unexpectedly.

"And what if I say no, yes I do not want to go on a date with you, what are you going to do about it, ayyyy?"

......

Christian's heart leaped a notch when she said no, did he hear her correctly, she had to be joking, cause he was convinced she also felt this magnetic pull of attraction to each other, which he also felt.

She couldn't deny the fact that there was a spark whenever she saw him, he could feel it, he knew she felt it too.

Left with no options whatsoever, and not wanting to say this but having no other options, he dropped the bombshell in answer to her question earlier.

"I will have no option than to reconsider your friend's employment, mind you that she is not qualified." He said not putting into her mind her reaction to what he had said.

And true to his thoughts, her reaction to what he said was unexpected, as she began to laugh so hard, it cracked his ribs up too.

What did she take him for, a clown that made people laugh or a comedian?

He had a mean temper, as he was quick to get angered, not wanting her to be the cause of a temper now, he frowned and asked-

"What's so funny, eh?"

"Nothing, nothing." She replied while using her hands to cover her lush lips.

"Nothing, and you are throwing a fit laughing, you just hurt my feelings, love, or is my manner of approach so poor?" he asked putting on a serious face.

Crinkling her eyebrows in amusement she started to speak "I'm just laughing at how how pathetic you are, like seriously, so you had it in mind all along to give my friend this job, so you could use it against me or even blackmail me right?, and here I was thinking I finally had someone, who would tell me that he or she would do something for me just as you said earlier on, and actually mean it, break my heart, tchhhhh. That's just so crude." she replied while straightening her composure and smiling proudly.

Damn it, she was so fine, even her laughter and mischievous attitude was enough to cool his temper down.

"You could have outright asked me out, and I wouldn't have minded accepting your offer, cause to be sincerely honest, I do want to go on a date with you, like I would love to, but using this as an excellent opportunity to do so, just does not sit well with me." she said again and he blinked twice.

"Okay I get you, I'm sorry so how do I go about this." he muttered.

Propping his chin on his arms, he mimicked a babyish look deciding to look cute, and began talking.

"Mmmmn, Sara love, would you mind going out in a date with me, i promise you would have a lovely time."

......

Sara smiled looking up at the most adorable boy in front of her, asking her out in such a sweet way, she was lost and didn't even know when she muttered.

"Yes, Christian, yes I would surely go on a date with you."
