2 Getting Started

Despite everything that happened which would leave fans of such a genre ecstatic, Jin found it tedious enough dealing with such a existence who could seemingly create entire worlds with ease that she could go drinking after like nothing happened.

Regardless of Vion's claim to not be a woman she looked woman enough for him to decide that the next time he sees her, he was definitely going to give her a smack on her plump rear. Repeatedly. Until either her ass or his hand broke first. 'Well, humans are creatures that need goals in life. Getting revenge on that giggling brat seems like a good enough target for the long term'

Returning his attention back towards his system, Jin looked at the collection of tabs. Remembering the letter mentioning hidden options and wondering what they were.

║ { [Status▼ ] [Ninjutsu▼ ] [Store▼ ] [Storage▼ ] [Contracts▼ ] [Missions▼ ] ║

Eyeing each tab, the first choice seemed obvious enough to him. The downward arrow seeming to be the method to display more.

║{Status}

[Name: Jin Takakage

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Cultivation Level: none

Body Cultivation: None

Potential: Unlimited

Bloodline: None

Skills: Design

Nature Affinity: Yin (Beginner), Crystal (Evolved from Earth Release)

Jutsu: None

Equipment: town clothes (No bonus; blends in as a normal citizen)

SoH: Healthy (Normal)]║

Everything seemed normal enough, until he checked again to make sure he wasn't imagining things. "Okay, being fourteen would explain my body is younger and thankfully I'm still a guy but why am I younger by half my age? Why is my potential set at unlimited? And why do I have Yin Release and Crystal Release? I remember Yin Release in Naruto was related to spiritual and imagination so I guess my old hobby of reading various novels and watching anime can explain that if imagination is keyed in.

I mean it's not like I'm the only one who dreamed of doing the stuff I saw for real or even making my own inside my head. But what the hell happened for me to get Crystal? Raven, do you know?"

*Ding*

[Responding to user-]

"Ah, um, just call me Jin if you want, Raven."

[Please do not interrupt me again, Jin. It's rude. In response to your inquiry of Crystal Release, my system-log has shown that the creator added the affinity to your body for, and I quote; "I thought you would need it, plus, shits and giggles since you're too focused on my giggling that ONE TIME! I don't laugh /that/ much, focus on yourself instead." It seems the use for it is up to you to make use of.

Would you like me to relate the data regarding both releases? Since use- since Jin already have the Releases, the information is free. Please use the Ninjutsu system for methods of using specific jutsu.]

".. I'm definitely going to hit her when I see her. Before the information on the releases, can you explain extra part behind the affinities?"

[Affinities can be purchased in the system store, your own research, or from completing missions. However, affinities obtained in this way all start at rank one and can only increase though repeated usage or rewards. Each increase in rank lessening the amount of chakra and number of hand seals required while boosting its power and learning speed of related jutsu. After reaching rank ten, with the exception of Yin and Yang release, can evolve into stronger versions.

Fire release evolves into Inferno or Blaze release, Wind release evolves Swift release, Lightning release evolves into Plasma release, Earth release evolves into Crystal release, and Water release evolves into Blood Release.

Kekkei Genkai, Tota, and Kekkei Mora currently do not have an evolved state.

As for Yin Release; It is one of the two nature transformations to exist outside the elemental circle, along with Yang Release. It is based on spiritual energy that governs imagination, which you seem to understand, and is created by altering the ratio of spiritual and physical energy in favor of the former.

Various techniques such as Genjutsu, the Yamanaka clan's Mind transfer jutsu and the Nara clan's Shadow jutsu use Yin chakra. Given that your soul is older and stronger than your physical body, it's understandable that Yin Release would come more naturally than other elements. I recommend you start working on your physical training and correct the balance before cultivating your profound energy.

For Crystal Release; Due to it being an evolved form of Earth Release, it shares it's weakness for the penetrative power of Lightning Release while more resistant to physical attacks virtually useless against it. Crystal Release can convert any matter into crystal, from physical material to moisture in the air, turning anything into a weapon. This extending to attacks made from earth, water and wood.

When used on living creatures, targets can be crystallized down to the cellular level, imprisoning them so long as the crystals are in place and shattering them if the crystals are destroyed resulting in death. Users are also capable of manipulating pre-existing crystals and crystalline structures.

However, raw energy such as pure chakra, lightning or fire natures can not be crystallized making them possible counters as well as sound waves on a specific frequency due to the requirements of needing a precise build up of elements to form properly.

Was my explanation helpful?]

Jin sat there for a full minute to comprehend everything before cursing under his breath 'Damn information dumps. And this is most likely going to continue until I go through everything.' Giving a nod, he stared at the path that lead out of the forest. "So what about my potential? And where am I anyway?" Raven's answer coming as quickly as always, something he appreciated.

[Your body was made by the creator, as such has no defects which would result in stagnation or lacking ability to break through. So long as you continue to take in the required profound energy, you, Jin, can pass through the ranks and realms with ease.

As for your location; You are currently on the Blue Pole Star, Profound Sky Continent, Blue Wind Empire's Floating Cloud City outskirts. Roughly two years before the start of the story. Is that concise enough for you or is it too much of an information dump?]

"...Is that sarcasm or are you seriously asking? Can you even do sarcasm?"

[Creator was correct, you are an idiot.]

"..." Jin couldn't hold it in anymore and finally flipped his imaginary table in his mind while training his poker face the entire time. Even if both the system and its creator pissed him off, he wouldn't give them the satisfaction of a reaction. The more pissed he ended up getting the more calm his mentality became while promising to inflict pain on those two later when he was able.

Already having an idea of what to expect, Jin ignored Raven and it's attitude while checking the Ninjutsu option only to give pause at what he saw.

║{Ninjutsu}

[Rank E (7): Unlocked ▼

Rank D (20): Unlocked ▼

Rank C (58): Locked; Nascent Soul

Rank B (97): Locked; True Profound

Rank A (67): Locked; Spirit Profound

Rank S (24): Locked; Sky Profound

He only had access to the first two ranks of jutsu and among them, only Earth and Yin Release were available. Taking a moment to think about, the answer was pretty simple. The Ninjutsu only gave him access to what was within his level of ability and affinities. If he wasted time learning a jutsu he had no affinity for, compared to one within that could also strengthen his affinities, he'd take way too long to reach his goals. Though the fact even E Rank jutsu cost 5-SP for basic techniques while D Ranks cost twice as much bothered him, he couldn't help but hope it wasn't a trend even if it meant jinxing himself.

Nodding to himself, he moved on for now to look at the other tabs in the system. Yet no matter how many times he tried, the store wouldn't open. Trying the others, the same happened for Storage and Contracts with only the Mission tab opening.

║{Missions}

[Main Missions: Leave the Forest!

~Leave the Forest! It's dangerous in there young man, profound beast roam more actively at night and you lack a weapon to defend yourself. While watching you run around like a chicken with your head cut off would certainly be entertaining, dying so soon would just be pathetic. So get moving.

-Conditions: Completion (exit the forest); Failure (none)

-Reward: 20 SP, 1 Purple Profound Coin

-Penalty: None (Your life?)]

"Raven, how come only the Status, Ninjutsu and Mission tabs? And wasn't there a beginner package?"

[Other options are currently locked, with conditions for release currently hidden. Host is currently too weak for contracts anyway.

Would you like to open the Beginner Package? Contents are randomized and only four items are available.]

Giving a half shrug while shaking his head, Jin couldn't really bring himself to care about gambling options like this if he couldn't rig the game in his favor. If it wasn't for the fact he needed something to protect himself with, he wouldn't bother with such a gamble of an item. "Open it, if you'd be so kind." Jin himself heading towards the city.

*Ding*

[Congratulations Host for opening Beginner Package! Obtained x1 Degraded Ootsutsuki Bloodline(Uchiha), x1 Yang Affinity, x2 Amaterasu Divine Talisman, x1 Mystery Box. Would host like to fuse bloodline? Affinity automatically added. Open Mystery box?]

Feeling two slips of paper appear in his pocket along with a small box that barely fit in his palm, Jin gave Raven the go-ahead to unseal the box before asking about the bloodline. After placing the talismans aside for the moment, the first thing he saw was a note on top of a smooth red cloth. Picking up the note first to read as he walked.

|| I warmed them myself, perfect for you. -Vion ||

Already getting a bad feeling, Jin examined the warm cloth again while gingerly picking it up as if it might explode at the slightest jolt. Given that anything involving that entity would certainly be trouble, and her abilities shown so far, his caution wouldn't be considered odd despite the mission that seemed to want him safe. Then again, she did rip his soul from his old body after drugging him so, he felt reasonable.

After lifting the cloth completely, he almost fell face first into the dirt. The sheer absurdity of the item the cause of a near accident making Jin finally roar out loud. Another prank the gods play on mortals.

"WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE PERFECT FOR ME?!?!?!?! THEY'RE F***ING PANTIES!"
