A Barbarians Tale of Love and Loss

Gilgamesh is a young man, born to a Tribe of hunters in the Village of Gripa; a small village in the Woods of the Great Tree as a part of the Realm of Earth. Long had Gilgamesh, or Gil as his friends call him, felt he was meant for something greater. He had a sense of wonder that felt unquenched and a desire to live and learn, something he could not do in Gripa. As of right now though he wanted to learn nothing more than as to why his older brother, Monty, up and left the village one day 15 years ago. As he had just turned 23, Gil was soon to be appointed Interim Chief of Gripa as he was next in line to Succeed his father. Before he could begin the ceremony the seer of the village spoke a prophecy rather than recited a blessing as she connected to the spirits of earth; “Calamity will soon be upon us, use the fire within you to stop it.” Little did Gil know how much those words would change his destiny, all the happiness and joy he would experience as well as all the pain and misery that will accompany it…
