Chapter 1- New World

Our Mc, Sid was living a great life until he died from a lightning strike.

In his whole life he had been a great son, a great friend and a top student. He had always been kind to others, even if someone tries to hurt him, he never retaliated. He was always kind.

But he died from a lightning strike and when God checked his all records, which were all clean, he was given a chance to go to another world and live a new life.

This news made our MC really happy and he thanked god, but things didn't end here. God said that not only will he be allowed to live in a new world, but he will also get a special gift, what was it?

It was "Ki", which you may have heard a lot of time in martial art webtoons.

Sid asked why Ki? Why not magic or something else? But God answered that he can only give him this. He said that he don't want to unbalance the power in the world I was going.

After think for a while Sid said ok and accepted this gift and got ready for another world ride.

Off-course our Mc is happy as he will not only have one type of power but 2, one would be the power he will have of that world and other will be the 'Ki', which may not sound that great but still our Sid was happy.

After all God can't unbalance the power of a world, he was a true kind God like we all read and know OR that was what only Sid thought.

For the first time Sid open his eyes after his death, in a new world with a new life. He was a kid right now, who was in the arm of his mother.

His mother was old and had frail skin, still she had a big smile. A smile that could never be measured in anything.

Sid didn't know what type of world he is in so the only thing he could know was to just be in the embrace of his mother.

Time passed by a few years…

"Ken!... Come to your mama…"

In this new world, our Sid name is "Ken Kai". He is right now only 3 year old but don't think he like any other kids. He know how to walk, He knows how to talk (a little bit) and he also knows how to eat food in a proper way, It may sound absurd or normal, but for a mother of poor family, this all things were the greatest things she could witness.

The only thing our Ken Kai did was to roam around in house or just look outside the window waiting for his mother, just a normal life.

Though our Mc had super special abilities but he just wanted a normal life, or …. Was it too much to ask for?

Again time passed by a few years and now our Ken Kai is 7 year old. With the help of his mother he knows how to read and write. And he also gets to know that the world he is living in is a world with cultivation. It was like he was in a Chinese fantasy novel.

One night, when our Ken Kai was waiting for his mother, he saw an old man nagging on his mother.

Old man: Come-on Chiyako San…this can't go on, you have to pay tax or we have to kick you out of the village.

Mother: I am sorry village chief, but I am trying hard, so please give me some more time.

Old Man: Still you are already a week late. *with an evil smile, he started touching her shoulder* if you are having trouble you can ask me for help, I can help you in many waaaaysss.

Mother cooked food for Ken Kai and after eating the food, both of them go to the bed to sleep.

The house our mc lives is small with 2 room and there is only one bed. From his mother, Ken Kai knew that his father has died before he was born due to a bite of a poisonous snake.

In the bed,

Ken Kai: Mother

Mother: Hmm…

Ken Kai: Don't worry I will protect you…

His mother was quite confused to hear this, but still she smiled back and holds her sons hand

Mother: what has gotten into you? Do you want something?

Ken Kai: *with a smile* no… just wanted to say that I will protect you and when I full grow up and started working, I will own a big house and you will live like a queen, while ordering all the servants who will be working for us…

Mother: Huhhh… really… then I will be waiting for that day…

Ken Kai: Don't worry that day will come very soon.

With that both of them closed their eyes and sleep. But our Ken Kai was not sleeping, as he started thinking how to be a strong guy as fast as possible.

With this, he waited for his new day
