1 The Starting Point

No one knew exactly when it happened for noone can remember however one day weird things started to happen. Monsters started to appear at certain locations as well as Dungeons started to appear baffling many people. These Dungeons and Monsters though needed people to Fight and to keep the peace so The Main Kingdoms created a system Called guilds, places where people could come register and form parties to go out and kill monsters to earn immense rewards including weapons and armor. the Guilds would rank each Adventurer based on there performance ranking them From a Ss to D. Basic quests could only be accessed by the lower ranks such as D and C when The Harder more challenging quests could only be completed by the higher ranking Adventurers such as B and Above. Dungeons could give adventures many riches as well as powerful equipment however in order to complete a dungeon you will need a party of adventures to complete the Dungeon and Its Boss.

Jake was a Very normal Seventeen year old boy who lived with his mother Krystal and his two siblings Alexia and Troy. Jake often dreamed of becoming a Adventurer however in order to be one you had to meet a few requirements. Age of eighteen is one and the other is to have 1 Gold. I still had half a year until I was eighteen however the gold coin was my main issue. Income in my family was scarce as it is due to my family being considered Low class and living in the outskirts of the slums. My mother barely made enough to feed all 4 of us let alone 2 of us thus this made me want to go out and become a Adventurer and make a good living for my mother and siblings. One day I was walking down the street heading out of the slums into the city of Marith thinking of trying to go and make a little bit of coin doing odds and ends for some of the villagers when as I got closer to the city gate I noticed that the Gate Guards were having a bit of a conversation with a gentleman in a very expensive set of armor. As I neared the guards and the gentleman, the gentleman the guards were talking to abruptly turned around and looked dead my eyes. I don't remember saying anything let alone making any type of noise beside that of me walking. As the gentleman and me locked gazes he calmly asked me what my name was and if I had any business in the city? I respond politely to the Stranger and tell him that my name is Jake as for my surname I didnt have one due to my family being low class citizens that's why I was coming to the city to offer my aid to anyone for a few coin. Seeing the humility in my eyes the Gentleman introduces himself as Knight Lord Christoph and asks me if I would like to earn 10 silver by helping him out? I Immediately said yes stating that I would do anything he asked. He took my response to heart and told me to follow him, Christoph said his goodbyes to the guards and him and jake headed towards the City stables.

So Jake tell me a little about yourself asked Christoph trying to understand the kid he was about to work with a little bit more. Jake looked at him puzzled wondering why someone in his caliber would care to even talk to someone like him but responded nonetheless. As I told you earlier when you asked me as well, my name is Jake, my mother's name is Krystal she works in the city at a local pub as a waitress barely making ends meet to feed me, my sister Alexia, and my brother troy and herself so I try not to burden her with feeding me since I am capable of earning a wage for myself. I do odds and ends for folks all over the kingdom half the time it really isnt that bad others it can be a real pain in my neck. The coin I earn allows me to feed myself just enough to get by everyday and the rest I give to my mother to help her out. I decided long ago that I wanted to be a Adventurer and make something of my life so I can bring my mother and siblings as well out of the life of poverty. Christoph listens to him as they head towards the stables, he can tell that jake is a modest boy and given the chance could shine if properly trained. Nearing the stables the stable master noticed the knight and his follower were heading his way, he hurried and got finished feeding the horses their straw and walked out and greeted the man. Christoph and the stable master walked towards the horses leaving jake to ponder by himself for a minute however jake has other intentions, standing still and carefully drowning out the other noises jake could hear the two discuss something about two horses and it costing 4 gold. Jake started wondering who this man was? Jake grew up hear the whole time and never seen that man let alone heard of his name plus not many people who just pay for a horse for a lowly commoner. Christoph came walking back over and told Jake what has transpired. The Stable master and myself have agreed to the price of 3 gold coin for two horses he is currently getting them ready to set out as we speak. I realize that most people in my position wouldn't buy a horse for a boy in your status however I seem fond to try and help you realize your dream. If you are willing to learn and truly dedicated to your word then I would be willing to take you on as a apprentice teach you everything I can and then let you decide when your eighteenth birth year comes what to do. Jake looked at this man really now confused thinking he could read his mind or some shit but on top of that he just offered to take me on as a apprentice until I'm eighteen!!! Standing there still dumbfounded at what he just heard he looks as Christoph and asks him if he is being serious. Christoph tells him that he does spout lies or false hope. Jake agrees to to being a apprentice to Knight lord as the stable master walks over the two horses for the two young men. Christoph takes the reins of one of the horses and Tells Jake that they are heading to the City of Ruin.
