This novel is totally underrated, it's not getting the exposure which it should. The ranking in terms of power stone is also above 100 and I seriously don't understand why, I'm only vote this novel but still. this novel is a hidden gem, try reading it and believe me u guys will be thankful, it's just awesome and what I love most about this novel is it's humor. The start is a bit slow, but you'll get addicted to this novel, you all will always be impatiently waiting for the next chapter to be released.

I'm only reading this because of its anime adaptation which I really liked especially the 1st and 2nd episode. Finally I get to continue to where the animation left off.

This story is definitely one of the best I have read so far the writing quality is top notch and the author did a very good job the story is very thrilling

Hello. This novel is kinda a sequel to Xiling Empire novel so maybe you can translate it too. It is a little bit unfair to new readers to tell about empire, system and emperor without preview how it was created and stuff like that.

Something to say about the book name, the cover and the classification. Please don’t drop because of its cover. I strongly advise the translator or someone in charge to change the cover. I feel like the cover suggests that the content is related to Cthulhu Mythos but actually there is no relation at all. Please don’t drop because of the book name. Many Chinese reader said that they skipped the book at the first see of the book name but found it exciting unexpectedly when they dropped it somehow. Two main parts constitute the plot: the first is the landlord and his tenants’ daily life, which exhibits a lot of humor; the second is the work as an inspector, where multiple civilizations and races in the universe are descripted and there existed a lot of moving stories about their fight against the disaster as a human. As for the first part, obviously the language and culture differences destroyed many humors but there is still something making Chinese and foreign readers alike laugh. ‘The record of unusual creature’ comes from this part. In qidian, the book name, combined with a very distinctive cover (the author just use the name with white board as its cover) suggests that the plot is a comedy about unusual world and creature. The second part, usually considered as the most exciting part makes the novel more resemble a sci-fi. Actually, it is classified as a sci-fi in Qidian. To descript this part, a more suitable book name would be ‘a contract from the god’ or ‘a Xiling inspector’s work in multiple universes’. But, I suppose, for commercial reason, the names serious as such are not adapted and the reader attracted by the first part wouldn’t drop the book because the second part is so exciting and attracting. But that is the case is for Chinese version. Now that many humors are spoiled, I think a more suitable book name for the second part would be better. The translated book doesn’t have to have a name the same as the original one anyway. I understand why the book is classified as a magic realism. The novel is nothing like a sic-fi in the first 200 chapters. But it is neither something like a magic realism in the remaining story. Hopefully there would be somebody in charge considering my suggestions.

Very underrated, just get through 10-20 chapters and you will be hooked. The best points are the characters, their interactions, and comedy, which stand out among the vast majority of webnovels here. Translation quality and frequency are great considering the lesser popularity and lack of ads or premium (don't fight me but I'd support either for a lesser known good novel with good translation like this). Story development is kind of slow, but not unbearably, and the background of the world is good but not the best, and is kept vague on purpose so far. Note: You may get a harem vibe initially with the many women around the MC but it's really not like that at all (the women don't show any romantic interest as of 241, also according to others it's not a harem and only one love interest appears at 1400 or so). In fact despite the fact many stores try to pull off the "a lot of girls around the MC but pretending it's not a harem", this one actually does it and, without spoilers, the dynamic between Hao Ren and his tenants is one of the best things about the story.

This is the best book I ever read. Let's start with the bad stuff first. -I don't think you can not not bench read this for 2 reasons :It's freaking awesome and because of all the world's and univeres I am afraid you will forget certain side characters cause there are a bunch of them (every world has inhabitants after all ). -The first chapters (0~25/50) are like the initial setup and to get you off the human way of thinking. The start point of this novel is a human and well human life is comparatively boring compared to a space observer/agent/demolitionist/saver and all his friends. The good stuff: Everything was preplanned. Didn't spot any loopholes.* No fillers. No offtrack stories. The translation quality is great 5/5. The characters are a 6/5. (Character development was amazing) The world setting changes a lot making it spicy and interesting every single time. If you are looking for an amazing cast and world this is for you. *Although there are bound to be plenty of them if you are gone search for them.

A novel that is actually worth the score. Some novels starts out strong, but it’s story deflates half way through. Not this novel. This one just gets better and better. This novel is like cultivation chat group, but instead of cultivation, it’s space, magic, and technology.

i don't know why this book hasn't blown up. I have read tons of lns, cns and whatnot and from that experience I can confidently say this is one of the best out there. it is unique in so many ways. I will say this tho, it is slow paced but that's the strong point of it, slice of life, action, exploration and adventure, comedy, you will get everything from this, rise and fall of civilizations, destruction of universes. AND ALL THIS WITH NON CLICHE INTERACTIONS, THOUGHTS OR STORY. I will not say anything on mc, his friends, their development and all that. Just give this a try, don't worry about it being "dull" at first, you will come to love this novel.

I have to say I do actually like the story and would normally rate it at 4.5 stars, however the addition of forced premium on the novel from chapter 103+ when I logged on this evening is a big let down for me. I wouldn't mind if it was the ad-view based premium but full on premium is a bit much, especially when you consider the base price of spirit stones being $0.99 for 50SP that means I can read 5 chapters before I have to spend another $1 for 5 more chapters...
