no one knows how to write a mutual respect and friendship between a man and woman in these novels... it's as if men and women simply cannot be just friends ever, let alone best friends, that would just blow peoples minds apparently.
So the brother was given innate duel elements which is legendary rare and the sister was given an element that one should not receive until he/she is an intermediate mage which is legendary rare. What is up with this family.
