He was rushed to the ventilation room. Collapsed of a massive heart attack. Operated and kept unconscious. Nurse appointed for supervision, name of the patient #296. Ischemic heart disease. Where the blood vessels supplying blood to the heart are narrowed. Doctor had promised not more than 3 days of life to him, Zach Smith.

The doctors kept him better temporarily, as his body was reacting well, shifted him to a normal room, and left. The nurse was let in for medicational oversee.

She entered humming melodiously, a sad song. Beautiful blonde hair flowing over her shoulder like threads of golden silk, lovely rosed lips, enthralling deep sea blue eyes, dimpled cheeks, a rapturous smile and a mesmerizingly beautiful face.

His eyes opened, fluttering-blur, with certain intoxication for the woman, curious to know the face behind such a hypnotizingly elegant voice. Unable to view her face out of the the pain and heavy medication, fascinated, he asked her name. 'Aster, Aster Wilson', said she. Smiled gracefully at the handsome face, and left. The look on her face and the feeling in her heart spoke her sudden attraction towards the charming man. But she did not know his name.

Nevertheless, both of them had a very unprecedented feeling, it felt like their hearts were glowing, it felt like love at first sight. After her shift, Aster sat next to Zach, waiting for his consciousness, humming the same song. He opened his eyes, slowly, still couldn't see her properly, but drowned within her voice. Charmed and touched deeply with love's sweetest fragrance, he forgot his pain, and that his death was on a mile. She forgot to ask his name, rather affectionately wandering into his eyes.

She sat there, singing all night, with him listening-

'this is where the love was, is,

remained in your heart,

my love, our love of the first day,

honey, don't wait to die, death is sweet release,

two days are still left, two,

and I sit humming, still by your side'...
