22 Ch. 22 Trouble Along The Way

I woke up at the floor and looked at my surroundings to which I remembered that Bishou and Me are supposed to be doing quests from the guild in here.

Bishou: Took you quite some time to wake up.

After hearing that I got up from my sleep and fixed myself, the Inn keeper gave us foods that looks delicious and can't be found anywhere here, it looks like a chicken but it's not? It's hard to explain it also had some vegetables that lies beside it and with a slimy sauce that has an appetizing smell. The inn keeper told us that the food was given by the mayor of this village and the villagers as an offering to the heroes. We ate up and finished our breakfast after that we decided to go to the actual place of the guild to get some quests.

On the way to the guild there's people outside that's looking outside, they're not those ordinary kind of people but rather the kind of people you see in anime and movies "thugs". Seems like they're waiting for someone since they're all packed up in one place. When we got inside of the guild Bishou talked to the person in the Front desk and asked if there's an available quests for us.

Bishou: Any available quests?

Receptionist: Can I please get your level?

Bishou: I'm level 60 along with the person right there.

She pointed at my direction.

Receptionist: Understood, please wait a moment I'll look for any available quests for you two.

The receptionist then got inside into some sort of room that has a lot of documents in it, it seems like that all of the papers in there are all the available quests. After a while she got out of the room with tons of paper alongside her and showed it to us. Some of the quests includes defeating certain monsters, gathering materials, and more but Bishou seems to have found the quest she wants. Geez don't I have a say to this? Again?. "Defeating the Goblin King that rests in the deep forest not so far from the village, Award: 5000exp and 100gold". I'm curious about the reward, not the gold part but rather the EXP how do they give this? Can the EXP be touched or something? We asked various information about the Goblin King and apparently The Goblin King is a monster that takes women as prisoners and kill all men at the same time it has an army of Goblins which are easy to fend off, but if that's the case we have to save all the women that's been captured after defeating him, his level is 50+ or so at least that's what the receptionist said, along the way Bishou added an extra quest and that quest is the one that we were talking about last night.

Receptionist: Are you sure that you want to accept this quest?

Bishou: Of course I am!

Receptionist: Umm...A lot of adventurers were killed with this quest because the monster was strong and those who survived were so scared that they didn't want to take another quest for a while in fear of encountering the monster again.

Bishou: Don't worry! I'm not a dimwit like them, it's ok if we don't defeat it, we just want to see the monster.

Sheesh Bishou just being Bishou I guess, but if ever that the monster that they're pertaining of is one of the seven deadly sins we agreed to retreat since we don't know if how many sins are in that place. After accepting the quest we got out of the guild house only to be ambushed by the thugs that we saw earlier.

Thug one: Hey there lady~

Thug two: Care to join us for a drink?

This looks like trouble, but Bishou seems to be calm at our current situation and keeps walking away.

Thug one: ohhhh~ Cold~ aren't we?

Thug two: Come on now there's no need to be like that.

Thug number two then put's his arm on the shoulder of Bishou in the hopes of taking her to the bar beside them but Bishou got mad and tossed him aside with just one hand.

Bishou: Tsk.

Thug two: W-w-waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

A large thud was heard and made all of the thugs surround us. I guess this happens too in this world. Thug one then takes out his weapon and looks like a sword that hasn't been sharpened for a long time. When he attempted to slash Bishou, I interfered by using my shield and used barrier to protect her.

Jade: ....

Thug one: WHY YOU!

After deflecting his attack he screamed out for help and then a lot of thugs started showing up.

Thug one: EVERYONE SURROUND THEM!

Thugs: NYiheheheHEHe!~

All of them looks so weak but still...we're outnumbered, so this might take a while.

Bishou: This is stupid.

Jade: What?

She then leaps through the air and spins like a top and starts throwing a lot of dagger. All of them were hit by Bishou's dagger but it seems like there was no damage dealt to any of them

Thug one: Huh? Is that it? IS THAT ALL YOU GOT LITTLE GIRL?

Bishou: Tsk.

Thugs: ....Boss....

Thug one: WHAT IS IT?!

Random Thug: There's a bomb on the daggers.

Thug one: huh?

Before it could even I explode I used a barrier on me and Bishou. After the expltion all of the Thugs were scattered. While all of them were down Bishou gets near to the Thug that seems to be leading their leader and carries him with only one arm through his neckband and tells him something.

Bishou: One more time you do that again, I'll kill you....for real.

Thug one: HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

The others were so scared that they decided to run and leave the guy that's leading them. After a while a Knight came to the village and arrests the Thug. Later, they told us that the guy was causing the village a hard time since they've been doing this for quite some time now and since the Thug was fast when it comes to running and is fast at hiding he was hard to catch. Geez, why is it that everything has to be done by us?

When that was settled we got into our wagon and started going to the woods where the Goblin King resides. We also decided that we should defeat the other monster that might be one of the seven deadly sins along the way.
