18 Ch. 18 Growling Cry
All of the heroes gathered outside the kingdom of Dritiron from the front gate while the army are assembled and King Titus along with Dia in his side. The Drake was walking rather slow this time, rather than running towards us like it normally does.
Titus: Hold your positions!
A portal then opened at the back of the Drake and spawns undead, skeletons and chimara once more. There seems to be no new monsters but the numbers are quite larger than the last time.
Dia: Wait for it.
Ughhhh~ I just want to finish this and rest already. Everyone was at the ready for the attack, after all this is their second time seeing hell once more.
Titus: ATTACK!
Dia: Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge!
Titus ran towards the enemies along with the soldier while Dia is at his side and screaming at the top of her lungs and leading the soldiers.
Soldiers: HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
The Undeads, Skeletons and Chimeras started clashing with the soldiers. We also took our ran towards the Drake to face it.
Jade: Let's go!
Lansa: Wait, since when did you get in charge?!
Merin shot one arrow to the sky and casted a spell.
Merin: Hundred Arrows!
The arrow became a hundred and hits the Drakes back but like before it was futile, then Cara followed up and manifested a Bazooka.
Cara: Then how about this?!
Cara fired her bazooka and hits the Drake's horns and was confused because of the smoke and explosion which made it growl.
Drake: GYUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Raijin: Hey! It's working.
Schild: Not yet.
Sia and Bishou: Our turn.
Sia and Bishou ran towards the Drake and manifested a sword fro Sia and Dagger for Bishou, the Drake was at the ready and stands still to defend from the upcoming attack, Bishou then landed a dagger that has an explosive on its head while Sia tried to get at the bottom of the Drake and slash it, specifically talking its belly.
Sia: Chiaaaaaa!
Bishou: Dagger Bomb!
The Drake then hardened it's skin to deflect the explosion from the dagger and Sia made a big slash on it's belly but because of the hardened skin there was no sign of damage. It was getting closer and closer so Me and Schild made a big barrier and tried to stop it.
Jade and Schild: Barrier!
Geez, I really wish I could do something rather than just doing this. Cara barraged the Drake with it's Bazooka while Merin shoots arrows and keeps using 'Hundred Arrows', good thing that we have barrier so the explosion doesn't hit us when Cara uses her bazooka. After some time Cara changes her Bazooka into Hecker and Koch HK416 and started firing once more but this time she's coming from the side.
Cara: If it won't work from the front why not from the side then?
Merin: Then how about this?, Raiden Arrow!
Merins arrow had a glow and looked like a thunder after she shot's the arrow to the Drake the arrow was so speed at the same time it's growing bigger and bigger as it gets closer to the Drake, It looks so big, I feel like it will hit us too, wait.....IT WILL HIT US!
Jade: Schild give both of us a barrier and I'll enhance it with mine!
Schild: got it!
We both defended from the Arrow shot that was given by Merin. She almost killed us! What the heck?! Looking at the Drake it seem's that it has been weakened in a way but it's still not stopping, it started whipping it's Tail at us and attacking but Lansa and Raijin parried the attack.
Lansa: Oh no you don't!
Raijin: HAH!
After parrying the attack the Drake then jumps high and spins while having it's tail point at us like a needle, this time Schild and Me deflected it without any hesitations.
Schild: Let's do this.
Jade: Alright.
After deflecting the attack the Drake then tried to ram us, using it's thorny head, but, again we deflected it with the barrier then followed by the nonstop slash of it's claw
Schild: Arghhh!
Jade: kuh!
Lansa then attacks from the left while Raijin attacks from the right and tried to pierce it's skin but, the Drake hardened it's skin once more and spins as if trying to attack the two with it's sharp tail, Lansa was able to Parry the attack and Raijin managed to dodge.
Lansa: HAH!
Raijin: Woaw!
This continued, we've lost on what time it is already and kept fighting until it got tired all of a sudden giving us an opening. This was the plan all along, wear it out by defending and attacking from far away while not consuming a lot of our energy. Attack when it's weak. It made a huge growl once more.
Drake: GYUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Lansa: HAH!, I guess it's my turn.
Raijin: Alright let me in.
Lansa stands again as if to throw his spear while glowing in red, while Raijin's axe became more large and strong making it more heavier. Lansa threw his spear.
Lansa: Flaming Spear!
After throwing his spear, it glowed even more and started looking like a ball of fire coming towards the Drake.
*Fwoosh!*
The Drake growled again.
Drake: GYUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Raijin: Then let me finish this!, Axe Enhancement!
Sia: Let me in!
Bishou: It's a dead meat now!
Sia made a single swoosh at it and cuts its tail, Bishou planted explosives on it's dagger and planted four on each foot of the Drake, Raijin started running toward its head and jumped to the sky then slashed it's head in half. The Drake growled again but this time it's not like a normal growl it always do instead it sounds like a growl before it's death.
*Toogsh!*
*Swoosh!*
Drake: GYUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
It was still breathing after that, the drake was still trying to get up but the damage it got was a lot and made it unable to get up, we all looked at the Drake before it's final moment and let's out a final growl, this time, it sounds like it's crying.
Drake: GRUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
After this all that's left are the monsters that spawned, we dealt with it, then King Titus raised his sword while Dia raised the flag of Victory.
Titus: VICTORY IS OURS!
All: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
The night falls and everyone was to gather at the hall one last time and have a talk on the spoils, I don't care about the spoils but I'll attend anyways.
