1 Remedy of a Broken Heart

My name is Kim YunWoo and I'm a secret agent at the age of 17, I've been training my whole life to become one since my parents were murdered by some people we have yet to figure out who they are. I'm still in school and have only four friends . My Bestfriend Min Yuna , a friend I call my brother Jeon Junwoo, my ex girlfriend Ginger who transferred to Korea two years ago , and my bestfriends cousin Kim Lia. She's half Korean half American, we always talk about everything but they don't know I'm a agent and do missions. They say I have a big mission coming up after my birthday which is in a week I'll be 18, so I can do more legal things. The people at the agency have scheduled me an appointment to get some tattoos to look my role during this mission, I always get sad thinking about it because I have to leave all my friends and not tell them anything. So now we won't be friends anymore because I have to play a whole new person in a different city. "Seoul" the biggest city in Korea while we live in Daegu, the agency is very well hidden in a building that nobody can enter without a special keycard . Welcome to my life.

I woke up to see today was Saturday which meant my birthday is in 3 more days which means I get my tattoos today . I sigh because I really don't think I'll look right with tattoos on my pale skin. But I had to do it for the mission the day after my birthday. I get ready by getting a quick shower and then putting some all black clothes on with a black beanie and a black mask, we usually have to wear all black when all of us from the agency are going out together . I head out and meet the other staff down the street , while walking I see many couples walking hand in hand and smiling at each other. This when I wished I had someone to be with , but my work doesn't allow me to date until further notice (more like when I'm in my 30s) which is too long to wait. I'm young and want to explore a relationship other than school because we can't see each other outside of school. It's so much bullshit to say the least but it's a living for me, they give me a free apartment and nice cars. But that doesn't help my happiness I'm heartbroken and depressed, fucking depressed. I scoff as I head towards the staff as we get into a car and head to the tattoo shop. Once there they told me I had to get a full sleeve tattoo and some neck tattoos which can take three days to finish. I sit in the chair as they start the layout of the tattoos , it was going to take hours so I decided to fall asleep.

I wake up to see all my tattoos were finished "I thought it was going to take days to finish?" They laughed "you slept for about 8 hours and we did it in a 2 man job so we finished" one of the workers had said to me. I nodded my head and went home , they told me to keep it wrapped for another 3 hours and take a cold shower so it won't burn the tattoo. When I arrived home I get a call from Ginger, "yes ginger?" "뭐 하십니까 (what are you doing)" I sigh "you don't always have to speak so formal you know? We all studied English for you. But since you asked I just got in the house about to smoke a cigarette" . I can hear he scoff through the phone "you're always smoking cigarettes, why does your job have you so stressed? Want me to relieve it for you?" She tries to say seductive , I laugh and she just groans "you can't see right now but I'm pouting at you, I just miss you okay. I still love you and I just wanna get back with you, I know it's not gonna work but still , can't we just try?" . I think about her words and really think if I can get back with Ginger, I hear her say hello a couple times before coming out my train of thought . "Y-yes I'm still here , I'll have to think about that one . I have very important things to attend on my birthday so I'll be out" she sighs and says okay while hanging up.

{My Birthday}

It's finally my birthday and I'm not ready to leave everyone especially my Bestfriend Yuna , she was the only other woman I loved other than my mom. I had told her to meet me alone so I can tell her something important , she had met me at a park and I seen her sitting alone. "Hey Yuna , how are you?" She looked over as I bent down since I'm way taller than her. "Ahh nothing much , what do you need to talk about it's your birthday?!?" I laugh "well this is really important and I just want you to know I love you" she nods her head "WAIT before you continue I brought you a present!" I look down at her hands to see a small box . I grab the box and open it , I see a necklace with a picture of us together. My eyes start to become watery as I wipe my tears and put the necklace on, she smiles at me and wipes my tears . "No need to cry , I'm always here for you" I smile and hug her tight "My aunt is making me go on a very long business trip with her , I'll be gone for almost 2 years. I'll comeback for your graduation next year I promise!" She steps back and I can see her eyes watering and her lips quivering. She then starts crying as I hug her tighter "YunWoo I'm really gonna miss you, you're my Bestfriend and everything I ever needed. I never needed a boyfriend or a lover because you were that without feelings involved. I just wanna say I love you and I'll miss you, just please come back for graduation!.....oh my god wait..." I look at her nervous because she didn't notice the tattoos because I covered them with a lot of makeup . "Yes?" She looks up at me and kisses my lips , I kiss her back but I was in a state of shock "remember to always remember me by the taste of cherry lip bomb" she chuckles as I kiss her cheek. "I love you Yuna and I'll always be thinking of you Bestfriend! Make sure you tell everyone the news please I don't wanna break their hearts". She nods as we head our separate ways, I was going back home to pack and get ready to go to Seoul the biggest city in South Korea.
