Commander Drake Fixes me with a stern look.

Drake: Are you questioning my decisions?

Raven:...! That's not it!

Drake: You know of the unfortunate death of our Security Chief. Since you are the most eligible of our trainees, and are trusted by our people, it's only sensible that you would take his place.

Raven: I know that, but you know why I've been training here. In order to accomplish my goal, I have to leave.

Drake: I understand what you are saying, but we have no choice. You've been training for 6 years already, you are more than a trainee too.

I lower my head and nod.

Raven: I... I understand. I'll stay.

Drake: I'm glad you do.

I turn around silently and leave the room. I keep walking around aimlessly until I bumped into someone.

Raven: Ah! I'm so.. Sorry...

I look up to see Jayden.

Jayden: It's alright, but what's with you? You look like someone died. Which I know is true, but that's not what's going on with you, is it?

He looks at me with concern.

Raven: Well... Can we go somewhere else and talk?

I motion Jayden with my eyes at the maids who are staring at us. Jaiden nods understandingly.

Jayden: Where do you want to go?

Raven: There's this one place...

Raven: Do you need a hand?

I look down at the Jayden from the tree, my favorite rendezvous, I just climbed.

Jayden: No, I'm fine. I should be able to do this.

Raven: Alrighty then.

I pull my hand back and as I do so, Jayden slips.

Jayden: Woah!

Raven: Careful!!

I quickly grab his arm and pull him up. Maybe I applied to much force because as he gets on the surface, he trips and falls on top of me.

Jayden & Raven: ....!!!

We look at each other, inches apart, our faces as red as burning coal. I look away first.

Raven: A- are you okay?

Jayden: Ye- yeah...

He says as he gets up.

Jayden: So, what did you want to talk about?

Raven: The thing is...

I explain everything to him, only keeping out the details of my 'goal'.

Raven: I understand him, but I need to leave this kingdom sooner or later.

Jayden:.....

I look over at Jaiden and he looks as though he is in deep thought. Maybe he can help me escape this situation....
