Its a week later.

The boys and I did some nice things outdoors, but mainly stayed at home because we want to let Topper settle down first, which works pretty well even if I say so myself.

he is really great, very playful too. He sometimes poops or pees inside but when he puts on puppy eyes we can't really stay angry. Were trying to teach him where he needs to use the loo though. Of course we bought all supplies the same day and I already know he will be spoiled rich within a month.

Maddy also came by recently with a basket full of toys and some dog treats, so Topper already likes her lots. I think it wasn't really a suprise that Topper's boss is Cody, but we all take care of him of course.

"Hey Liv, wanna go with me on a walk? We will take Topper" Zack yells and i see Topper running to me with his leash in his mouth "sure!" I put his harness on him. it won't be necessary later on, but because it pulls quite a lot on the leash, we want to make sure it is stuck and does not accidentally hurt itself.

I take the bouncing ball to the parking garage where Brent is already standing. "ready to go?"

"you know it" we walk a few blocks and I wonder where the rest is. Axel is rehearsing with his band called: 'No Control'. Brent was put in detention for beating someone who was flirting with Zack and Cody went to Maddelyn, so where's Dylan? "do you know where Dylan is?" I ask Zack "yes, he is at work, he is hired at Starbucks he told me this morning" he tells me, let's see how long that will take before he will be fired.

Dylan is just the type who is not suitable for work that he has no use for, that has already cost him over 20 jobs. I smirk "hey Zack? Wanna make a bet?"

When we get back Brent goes to some friends so I'm home alone so I take advantage of it and grab a coke and some snacks and make myself comfortable and turn on 'Orange is the new black' on Netflix, one of my favorite series where im really addicted to, just like Maddy.

My phone rings and coincidentally it's Maddy "hey Mads, I was just thinking about you-" I stop when I hear whimpering. "what is it Maddy? why are you crying?" I hear her sobbing even louder "where are you? I'll pick you up"

"Herrick street" she stutters and I already have Axel's car keys in my hands.

He's with the band anyway and he told me I could always take the car when needed. I mentally thank Axel for leaving the car behind and step in, still on the phone with Maddelyn. "Im coming Mads, don't move!" I yell into the phone and drive as fast as i can. Luckily she's not too far away, only a few blocks.

I spot her after a couple of minutes and stop the car and run to her, giving her a hug. I just hold her while she cries, not seeing the need of talking cause its pretty clear she just needs someone to comfort her. I rock us back and forth and shush her, telling it will be alright.

When she calms down i guid her to the can and in silence we drive home. With a hand on her back we walk inside and she lays down on the couch. I make us a cup of tea and join her, thankfull the rest is out. I wrap a arm around her shoulders "wanna tell me what happened?" I ask and she nods.

Its quiet for a while and i let her collect her thoughts. "Well i was with Cody as you know" she starts and tears form into her eyes again, rolling over her cheeks. "We were having lunch somewhere and i needed to use the loo. When i came back i saw Cody kissing another girl! I thought he liked me! We were at the point where we were expressing feelings, cause we all know there is a connection." She sobs. "When i saw them i ran away and didn't look back. Cody was calling out my name and running behind me but i hid in a bush and then called you."

I hug her and don't say anything. This isn't like Cody. We all know he doesn't care about many people, but i know he cares about Maddy. Finally when Maddelyn tries to settle down with a boy this happens.

I want to beat the shit out of him, but we don't know the full story. I believe my best friend of course, but still she didn't saw everything and Cody just doesn't seem the type to do this.

I hear her phone ringing again and again "i think its the best to pick up and let him come over so you can talk it out" i tell her but she shakes her head. "No way that im going to talk to him, are you defending him or some?" I need to hold back the urge to roll my eyes "of course not, i just know, just like you that Cody isn't the type of lad to do this and he really likes you. If not he misses out, cause your amazing maddy" she gives me a sad smile "thank you, and sorry i kinda snapped" I wave it off "don't worry, go get your man!" She chuckles and want to grab her phone when the front door opens

"Cody...."

"Maddelyn..."
