3 CHAPTER 3: Extreme Hunger

"Whuuu.... Whuuuu please James don't leave me... Please don't leave me..... I only have you in this world please don't leave me... I will do anything that you ask.... Please don't leave me.... Whuuuuuhuuhuhu"

Hearing a girl crying when all he can see is nothing but a pitch black give him a quiet goose bump. He try to open his eyes, but his eyes lid feeling heavy. Heavy like it weight like a mountain. He try to open his and try and try again and again and at last he succeed.

He find that his head was on young girl laps, he then look at the owner of the laps and he saw a horrifying face that look like it come out straight from horror movie. Her face look like melted candle. Her right eyes was gone while her left eyes only have small opening for her to see. Her nose was melted and only have a small hole for her to breathe while her left part of mouth was also melted only left the right part of her mouth was untouched.

Normally he will be shocked as the 1st thing he saw as he open his eyes was the girl with horrifying melted face girl, but the girl infront him did not make him feel scare nor shock as if he was already know her for a quite time.

There was no single ounce of disgust nor hatred but feeling of care. Feeling of something's that he can't describe. That feeling scare him out of his mind, not her face but the feeling when he see her, that feeling scared him. He never see her before in his entire life yet he have deep desire to keep her safe and to care for her.

He can't control himself from trying to coax her. He lift his right hand wanted to wipe her tear away and saying calming word to ease her yet the only words that come from his mouth is "food…food… I need food"

Hearing what he say the girl quickly but gently put his on the ground while walking hurriedly to cupboard near the bed and take out a loaf of dry bread from the sack inside the cupboard. She then hurriedly walk to him, she break the dry bread bit by bit and feed it to him with gentle and caring manner while saying to him "eat slowly, if not you will choke on it"

Even though the young girl saying to him eat slowly, he did not heed her words and keep eating it like hungry wolf. The bread was hard but he was too hungry to think about it, whether it hard like a rock or soft like cotton he did not give a single hoot about it because what he can think about right now is eat and eat or he will die from feeling pain out of hunger.

After eating a loaf of bread feeding to him by her, he can feel that he can move his hand as he like albeit a bit hard like a sick person.

"Can you bring me more bread?" he ask her in pleading tone as he did not know her and whether she can give him more food decide either he can stop this hunger from ripping his stomach from inside. It was pain … it pain like his stomach was melted by acid from inside.

"Wait a bit" she says as she walk to the previous cupboard and bring the sack that contain loafs of dry bread to him. She open the sack for him and give him a loaf of fry bread but this time his hand can move so he eat by himself. He eat with trice the speed of previously because with his own hand he can just stuff and rip the dry bread with his mouth and teeth.

He eat and eat and eat and strangely he did not feel full at all. He eat and eat until he can't feel the hunger anymore only then did he stop.

He did not realise that as he eating bellow his shirt, his skin right down his chest to his toes turn from black blue to healthy tan bit by bit as he eating more and more until he can't feel the hunger anymore then all his skin become healthy tanned.

'Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle ' as he holding last loaf of fry bread from the sack he heard a stomach rumbling and he look at the last loaf of dry bread that was on his hand and then look at the girl. Then sense of shame hit him harder than a bullet train crash into a wall.

"S…so… sorry I did not know that you still not eating yet" he say as his face red ashamed

"Don't worry about me I fine as long as you can eat tomorrow you need to go to work" say her as he trying to smile and hiding her hunger.

For normal people they will wet them self if they saw a girl with melted candle face smiling at them. But for him he feel nothing of sort but guilty as he feel that he fail at something.

He then grab her hand and then open her palm then put the last loaf of dry bread on her hand while saying "I already eat too much … almost empty the sack… you should eat it"

"But…but just now you look like in pain because of hunger… I never see you in pain like that before you even stop breathing for 2 hours and I almost lost you… sob…sob if my hunger tonight can make you feel less pain it alright for me… I can hold it"

"Silly girl, don't you worry about me, I will not leave you. I am fine right now trust me and eat that bread I already too full right now. Did you see I in pain right now? Not right? Eat that bread, it already get darker outside"

As the girl eating the dry bread he turn his head to looking around but he make it subtle as he can as not to make it weird for the girl. He feel as he was inside an old desert house that make from yellow stone. Inside the house there was only 1 bed that make from same material as the wall with worn out cloth as mattress.

The house have only small bathroom and toilet other than the hall. Inside the hall there was only the bed, cupboard, pick axe and a clay pot for water… that all nothing more nothing less.

After she eating the dry bread and drink some water, she asking him to sleep early as not wanted to waste the candle. She sleep on the bed while he sleep on the floor. She did ask him to sleep on bed with her but he refuse and sleep on the floor with his arm as his pillow.

She did not find it weird as he always do that. She was fast as sleep. It maybe because she tired from all the crying or she was really easy to fall as sleep. That he did not know because he only meet her for the 1st time today.

It hard for him to sleep, he still processing the information that he got today… it too much for him. As he looking at the yellow ceiling he fall into slumber without his knowledge.

He dream that he was on wide plain, he can see green grass as far as his eyes can see.

'Where am I?' 'Where is this place?'

"Hello anybody here? Helloooo anybody here!?"

He still did not hear any respond he then turn around and saw a young man sitting atop of stone and was looking at him from 1000 meter away. The young man age between 23-25. There was only 2 people on this wide plain one was him other was that young man who was staring him from 1km away.

He did not have any choice than walk to straight to the young man. The young man looking straight at his eyes while keep murmuring "will you take care or her? Will your protect her?"

"Hello there" he say to young man waiting for respond.

But the young man keep murmuring "will you take care or her? Will your protect her?"

"Erm… can I ask you where are we?" he keep asking but the young man only reply with same word

"Will you take care or her? Will your protect her?"

"HELLO?" he clench his teeth and vein start to appear on his forehead ,he almost lost the patient and wanted to smash the young man head on the rock.

But the young man seem like he don't care about his feeling and keep replying "will you take care or her? Will your protect her?"

Hearing the young man keep saying the same thing again he move his hand to grab the young man head and when he touch it, he took deep breath.

"Huuup fuuuu…. Huuu fuuuu… huuup fuuu"

'

I need to calm down… I remember that grandpa say that violent is only one of many way to solve the problem and there are other'

He then listen to young man murmur and he got a hunch that the girl that this young man say was the girl that he saw when he just open his eyes and she don't seem like a bad person . So he decide to answer the young man murmur.

"Yes I will take care of her and protect her"

"

Thank you" the young man finally reply with other words and smile and then grab his hand.

He don't even have time to react when he heard loud BOOM and he was pulled into a black hole and only things he can see is pitch darkness .
