Earlier that day. Before the horrific scene happened....

As Jay was driving towards the villa and was on a stop sign, he opened the glove compartment of his car and pulled out a small box with the engagement ring inside he had for Sofie. Now that Edmond will be filing for a divorce, he can pursue his interest to propose to her. He was hoping that this could somehow lighten the despair she might be feeling upon knowing that Edmond will be filing for a divorce.

Jay got excited at the thought of proposing to Sofie and put the box inside his front shirt pocket then drove off....
