97 LEAP OF BLOOD

Edmond woke up with a terrible headache. His entire body was sore and heavy.  Over thinking last night put a toll on him. 

Headed towards the kitchen, he took a pill to relieve the pain. Amy's food preparation was still on the table untouched. The pasta might not be good anymore as it was left inside the oven overnight. He had completely forgotten about her. He didn't even thanked her for her thoughtfulness and effort in preparing a surprise for him. For sure, she now had her suspicion but choose to remain silent up to now. Something that he must brace himself to. He don't have the guts to face her yet.

Praying that she would understand, he pulled out his phone and constructed a text message for her:

"I'm sorry about yesterday. Something problematic came up at work and had to be dealt with immediately. I hope you understand. I'll make up to you. Just give me time. I love you.".... sent.
