4 03.Take me

Shirley's pov:

I woke up with the sound of crying and banging of things....I checked the time it was still 2 am....God....Maybe the drunkard is back....I slowly rubbed my eyes and went inside to see where all the noise was coming from...I saw many men's and a man in his late 40's sitting on the sofa, Anthony was near his legs, crying and telling him to spare mom...."MOM" I screamed.

I did not notice her because she was blocked by many men's with baseball bats in their hands...she was lying on the floor with wounds all over her face and body, they were beating her up...I tried to go near her but I was pulled back by one of the men.

They pushed me and I fell to the floor. The boss who was the boss kicked Anthony away, stood up and told him that if he doesn't pay, his wife will die.

"Wife will die?" I repeated after him. No not my mother. She was the only family I had, I can't let her die, No No No. I looked at Anthony who was a crying mess with anger and screamed "You coward, do something". They were beating up mom. I couldn't take it anymore I jumped at the man and took the gun from one of the men beating up mom.

I screamed at the man to back off from my mom. They did, their boss angrily told me to return the gun but I ignored him and told him to piss off and leave me and my mom alone, we had nothing to do with him. He took a step towards me after he told his men to back off, I stepped back but I felt a sharp pain in my right ankle, I must have sprained my right ankle when they pushed me.

When I was distracted, the boss jumped at me and I got startled and accidentally shot him in the arm. The man behind him all approached him and I sat down in shock. What have I done?

I approached mom who was unconscious and Anthony was crying even more bitterly. The men snatched the gun from me and the boss while holding his arm tightly told Anthony in a weak but commanding voice "Your debt is settled...." hearing which Anthony jumped in joy, but the boss continued

"in the form of your daughter."

Hearing this Anthony held his held in confusion and I looked at the boss in disbelief and said "No....Please sir no", and the boss laughed and said "It's either your wife's death or your daughter with me" hearing which my heart shattered, No not my mom. Anthony looked devastated.

I looked up at the boss and said "Take me but you never disturb my mom or him ever again", hearing which he laughed and said "Deal little girl".

I looked at Anthony and said "Take care of my mom and if she asks where I'm, tell her that I ran away", he looked at me with teary eyes and nodded. I turned towards the man and one of them tied my hand tightly, tied my mouth and put a black bag around my head and threw me in the car. My ankle and head was paining as I was claustrophobic and the cloth in my mouth was not helping. I blacked out after a few minutes.
