27 CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN:I'm Not Afraid Of Threats!

An uncalled silence was heard in the room the minute Hazel made  that statement which left everyone stunned and short of words at what she just declared.

The look on everyone's face made her feel as if she said something weird  but when she was pulled to a bear hug from Avery she knew that they heard her correctly and was happy about what her decision was.

She noticed the heart wrecking glare Sophia sent her way,and then the same glare on Nathan's face at  what she said was not of concern to him but suddenly she noticed the way his eyes darkened towards her then  she removed her mind away From them.

They were one creepy set of human beings who needed treatment from a therapist.

"Welcome to the family Hazel"Avery told her, smiling happily towards her soon to be daughter in-law who made her a proud mother just by hearing what she said .

"My child"Grandpa called holding her hand and drew her away from Avery's grip as she laughed at the drama.

Grandpa was one funny fellow.

"Thanks child, you just made this old man happy"He said as just then the door was swung open  to reveal the prodigal son who was the reason for all these dramas standing in all his glory.

"Oh look who's here?''Sophia said, smirking evilly because she knew things were about to get messy here.

"Zaiden"Avery called walking  up to him to touch his face which was devoid of any emotion,he avoided his mother to look up to find Hazel seated in his grandpa"s bed and then he flared up.

"What is she doing here?!"He asked, shouting at no one in particular.

"Mind your words son, your grandpa is sick"Ezekiel spoke up to his arrogant son who failed to notice the sick state his old man was simply because of his hatred for his soon to be bride.

"Is she a doctor?"He added, looking at Hazel as if she was the reason for his anger.

"That's no way to talk to your bride Zaiden"Sophia added as his eyes burned towards her when he heard what she just said.

He looked up to find Hazel looking at him with a smile on her face,his anger instantly died down when he caught her staring at him which made him wonder what she was up to?

What are you doing Hazel?

Zaiden thought looking at her to find her not angry  at the way he regarded her infront of his family.

Here he was trying to push her away from him,to push her way because she was dangerously walking into the lions den by trying to get married to him.

Ariana had turned him into a cold and heartless monster who regarded girls as whore,he concluded he was never going to fall in love again.

But She was different,unlike the other  girls she agreed to get married  to him without knowing about his inner monsters who would kill any girl that crosses his path and claim to love him.

Why would she still want to get married to him after she told him that she was not interested in him so why the sudden change?

Was it for his money?

His eyes  darkened when he concluded that she was just here for the money,after  all, they would always open their legs for any man who has money just as Ariana had done.

They are all the same!

"Your engagement would be announced at Nathan's party"Grandpa told him, earning a disgusting  glance his way from his daughter in-law.

"That's absurd father,why would it be announced at my son's party?"Sophia turned to the old man who's focus was on Zaiden,his favourite grandson.

"Mother"Nathan held his mom's hand taking her out of the room immediately before she got involvedlon what was going to happen real soon.

"What?"Zaiden asked as if he didn't hear what the old man said .

"She accepted the proposal sweetheart,you guys are getting married"Avery told him while taking his hand but he removed her hand away from his  as if she was acidic.

"We need to talk,"He said to Hazel.

"There's nothing to talk about Zaiden,my decision is final"Grandpa interjected before Hazel looked at him assuring him she was fine with talking with him  before walking out with Zaiden.

Zaiden had his back faced to her when they were out of Grandpa's room standing in the terrace,

"How much?"He asked with his back still facing her.

"What?"Hazel replied, not quite understanding what he just said,she decided to talk with him personally to tell him she was not after his money and maybe if he asks her the reason for her sudden change she may likely tell him the truth about her,depending if he doesn't get angry at her.

"How much?Tell me ten billion?"Zaiden turned, grabbing her by her arm that his grip was too strong. She flinched from his touch,her eyes looking into his to seek what was wrong with him.

"You are hurting me"Hazel told him, trying to pry his fingers off her body,she noticed his eyes were filled with hurt and sorrow ,making her wonder who hurt him, unlike before his blue eyes always radiate happiness but looking closely now,it was not appealing at all.

"How much did she offer i will fucking double it you slut!!"Zaiden roared at her expecting her to name the amount she wanted to double it but what he received back was a slap which had his face turned to his sides,the slap echoing in the empty hallway.

"Don't you dare call me a slut,you arrogant piece of shit"Hazel yelled at him with bloodshot eyes.

How dare he call her a slut?

Was it because of the incident at the club that he mistakes her for a slut,even if she was one, how dare he conclude his mom offered her money to get married to him.

"Oh we are back to being fiesty,you are such an actress you know,acting innocent just to find the right time to attack"Zaiden said again smirking when he saw he was getting a reaction out of her.

"I dare you to call me that again,you frogface that knows nothing about me"Hazel challenged him looking straight into his eyes,she noticed his eyes turned darker the minute he heard what she said,she could feel the anger emitting off him  that for once she was afraid of what he would do to her.

Zaiden looked at her before he gave a sadistic smirk that had goosebumps crept her skin,he loved seeing her like this,afraid of him.

Well,she should be afraid of him,he's Zaiden fucking Knights,no one messes with him and goes Scot free.

But Hazel,she was one different case,she knew she was walking into fire by agreeing to marry him but she still choose to be burnt.

Which made him wonder what gave her  the determination and courage that she could make him fall in love with her just with her pretty face.

Well,she was dead wrong,no woman can make him stoop  too low as to fall in love again.

No one would do that to him again.

But since she's willing to try,I guess he was going to take the challenge. Let him see how she tries making him fall to her charms. She was one lousy dreamer who thought that was possible.

But anyway,she challenged him,which he's not going to back down from,he never backs down from a challenge.

Let's see  how this goes  Hazel.

Challenge accepted.

Zaiden thought looking at her before drawing her close enough for him to perceive her captivating scent which was messing with his head,as if she was poison he stepped away from her,afraid that he was going to lose himself and what he said if he went further towards her.

"After i'm done with you you won't hesitate to file for a divorce in a week,I'm going to make your life a living hell,I promise you.. WIFE!''Zaiden told her with a promise he was so gonna fulfill,he looked to see her staring at him with a blank expression giving him no answer to what he just said,which pissed him off.

How could she feel relaxed and unaffected with what he just said? She should be scared of him but here she was,looking at him as if he was some crazy ass dude.

"Well.."Hazel started,walking up to her arrogant soon to be husband,she whispered."I'm not afraid of threats,Mr.Zaiden Knights"The way his name rolled of  her tongue make him felt something but he ignored  the feeling inside of him, smirking at her braveness he replied.

She was one Stubborn flea,well let's see how much tolerance you got there.

"Welcome to the family,Mrs.Hazel Zaiden Knights."
