7 Chapter 7

I wake up with pain, severe pain, I couldn't move, I just laid there feeling caged; caged in my own body. I opened my eyes revealing a white room and some curtains. I heard a scoff and turned to see where it came from.

I couldn't make out the figure quickly, I blinked a few times then my vision became clear, it was the doctor, I was in the hospital. "why I'm I here", I asked him. " you were involved in a ghastly accident, you could have died but someone brought you in", the doctor said with concern evident in his voice. "who brought me", I asked him. " he didn't give a name, he just brought you in", he continued. "he's a kind young man".

The doctor asked me a few questions to see if I sustained any brain injury and to his surprise, I didn't.

A few minutes later, I heard someone come into the room. " my baby I'm sorry that this had to happen to you, why do bad things happen to good people?", the woman said making her way to my bed. I looked up and realised that it was my aunt and her husband. I instantly got up to hug them but was restrained by the sudden pain that attacked my body. "you have to rest dear, everything will be just fine", my aunt said.

" where is Granny", I ask. "don't worry about that, she will be here soon", she replied but it was obvious that she was hiding something. I ask again, " where is grandma". "dear, grandma is gone", she said tearing up. I was lost for words, I couldn't breathe, I blacked out...
