16 Like Wandering

Dexter brought his cigarette back to lit.  In this one night, he had smoked twice.  Even though in fact he also didn't like smoking, but when his heart was broken deepest, smoking can calm him down.

Dexter puffed his cigarette smoke into the air, toying with it by creating spheres that slowly disintegrated and merged with the rest of the air.

Dexter looked closely at the wisp of cigarette smoke he was creating.  As if to say, 'This cigarette smoke is no different from me, which in the end slowly disappears because it is considered just like air.  Air is invisible, which is why many don't appreciate it.  although without realizing it, my presence also wiped the sweat on her forehead '.

Dexter smiled sadly.  "But that was the story of the past. Now it has changed. There will be no more me, the way I used to be." Then Dexter finished his cigarette.  Put out the fire and threw the cigarette butts in the trash.

Dexter went back to bed, not wanting to check Kaili's condition again, but just wanting to get a pillow, so he could move to sleep on the sofa.  For him, the important thing was that he had provided first aid, how the woman's condition continued, it should not be his concern anymore.

True, he was her lawful and religious husband, but their relationship was too unique to be called husband and wife.  The title was nothing but short of a joke.

Dexter, didn't even bother glancing at Kaili.  He literally just took the pillow.  However, when his hand lifted the pillow beside Kaili, Dexter heard the woman's breath which was still heavy, still shivering.

Dexter knitted his brows together.  His brain said, 'that's enough, it's none of your business', but his instincts as a doctor forced Dexter to want to know more about Kaili's condition.  Yeah, right ... Just between the doctor and the patient, he muttered and put the pillow back into position.

Again Dexter checked Kaili's temperature.  Replacing the compress on Kaili's forehead, with a new one.  As well as checking the speed of the ongoing drip infusion.

"It's almost normal temperature," he muttered.  Dexter even cared about the room temperature.  Reduce the temperature slightly so that it was not too hot for someone with a fever.

Then Dexter took off his top and climbed into bed.  The shirt that Kaili wore earlier, had the buttons removed, up to 5 parts.  After that, Dexter embraced her, while sleeping.

"Don't shiver anymore, go to sleep," he whispered softly.  Either Kaili heard that or not.

This was the way Dexter had thought earlier, to share his body temperature with Kaili, to keep the woman warm.  Dexter's warm body, in direct contact with Kaili's shivering body, will reduce the feeling of being cold.

Dexter was a normal man, touching without a hitch like this naturally made his body even hotter.  There was also a part of him that was acting up, tormenting him.  But no, Dexter purely wanted to provide warmth and serenity to Kaili.

Sure enough, the moaning sound slowly disappeared.  Kaili's lips were no longer trembling, even now her breathing sounded regular, indicating that she had slept soundly.  Meanwhile, Dexter, now must feel very disturbed.  How could he sleep in this position.  Whenever he was near Kaili, he would indeed feel contractions like this.  For some reason!

Towards morning, Dexter woke up from his short sleep.  Because throughout the night, Kaili managed to torture him.  Kaili's sleep was terrible!  Unfit as a woman.  Many times she made moves that tested Dexter's defense.  If only Kaili hadn't been sick tonight, maybe Dexter would have ...

Dexter checked Kaili's condition once again.  Sure enough, no fever.  The compress has been removed since earlier.  Dexter stopped the infusion, because Kaili's face was already blushing, not pale anymore.  After that, he took the pillow and went to sleep on the living room sofa.  Not forgetting, he buttoned Kaili's shirt back before leaving the room.

In this apartment, Dexter only has one blanket, which Kaili used right now.  So he slept without using a blanket.  Just a pillow.

The chirping of birds in the morning, as well as the sun breaking through the window that Dexter didn't close tightly, woke Kaili up.  When she opened her eyes, what she saw for the first time was the crystal chandelier in the room ceiling.

Kaili seemed to spin her memory, right, this was not her room, she was married and was now in her husband's house.  Kaili looked to the side, there was no other figure there.

'Hmph ...' Kaili exhaled roughly.  Their relationship was as complicated as messy threads, who might sleep in one bed, she thought.

As she was about to get off the bed, Kaili's jade-like green eyes instantly caught Dexter's medical instruments.  Also, there was a compress kit, complete with cloth and water.  She also saw the syrup bottle hanging from the pole.  The bottle was deflated, indicating it was empty.  There was also a thermometer beside the small basin for the compress.

Kaili knitted her brows together.  The memory of last night immediately filled her mind.  True, she remembered, at that time she was taking a cold shower.  Her intention was only to soak, but fell asleep there instead.

"Was it Dexter who picked me up? Did I get sick last night? No wonder, my head is a little uncomfortable. My nose is like caught a cold. If Dexter did all that, then where is he?" Kaili muttered.
