"Hissss!"

A sharp cry of pain echoed as the fierce attack of Charmeleon and Eevee began to overwhelm the once-mighty Arbok. Despite its ferocious instincts, Arbok knew it couldn't endure much longer.

Yet, the trainer who had always issued decisive commands to turn battles in its favor was now in dire straits.

Rey, struggling under the assault, found himself trapped in chaos. He was fending off his own Arbok's rampage with the aid of his Beedrill while simultaneously contending with Eevee's debilitating Yawn and Tyson's relentless strategy.

The pressure was immense, and Rey could barely focus. Tyson seized the opportunity.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"

The column of fire roared forth, its intense heat engulfing Arbok. Its wide eyes reflected fear, and its battered body froze, paralyzed by exhaustion and injury. When the flames subsided, Arbok collapsed, its charred form lying motionless on the ground.

Without hesitation, Tyson ordered, "Eevee, use Yawn on Rey! Charmeleon, follow up with another Flamethrower!"

Rey, sluggish from the creeping effects of Yawn, faltered. His delayed reactions gave Charmeleon the perfect opening to unleash its fiery breath. The flames wrapped around Rey, forcing a pained scream from him.

Distracted by its trainer's cry, Beedrill left itself vulnerable. Arbok—now maddened by rage—took advantage and sank its fangs deep into Beedrill's midsection, tearing it apart with brutal force.

Before Arbok could recover, Charmeleon charged forward, claws gleaming, and delivered a devastating Slash. The attack left a deep wound, amplified moments later by Eevee's pinpoint Swift. Under the unrelenting onslaught, Arbok crumpled.

With the battle won, Tyson quickly retrieved Rey's Poké Ball and sealed the fainted Arbok within. Then, he moved to claim his rewards, including proof of his victory: two identification badges from the fallen Team Rocket members.

Just as Tyson began disposing of the bodies, a shadow lunged toward him.

The Charmeleon reacted instantly, unleashing Ember in retaliation. The fiery sparks forced the attacker—a Golbat—back, revealing its identity in the dim light.

But Golbat wasn't alone. A Persian and an Infernape appeared shortly after, both at an exceptional level of strength.

"Abra, Teleport!"

Without hesitation, Tyson chose retreat over resistance. Teleport whisked him and his Pokémon away just as the trio prepared to strike.

"Damn it! He has an Abra!" Mort cursed as their quarry vanished into thin air.

Okita, the most composed of the group, growled, "We need to stay close. No more splitting up until the trial is over."

The trio's fear of Tyson's hit-and-run tactics forced them to stick together, but this also meant they couldn't hunt as efficiently.

Meanwhile, Tyson continued his silent hunt, targeting other Team Rocket members while carefully avoiding Mort's group. Over time, Mort, Okita, and their remaining ally began to lower their guard. Tyson's absence lulled them into a false sense of security, a mistake they would come to regret.

The Final Day

On the last day of the trial, Mort and his companions prepared to split the spoils of their efforts.

"Let's wrap this up," Mort said, gesturing to his companions.

"Wait," Okita interrupted, watching Golbat fly overhead. "Let's grab one more prize before calling it a day."

Confident from their past successes, the trio spread out, ready to ambush any stragglers. They prepared their Pokémon—Golbat, Infernape, and Persian—to strike swiftly.

However, Tyson had already struck first.

Tyson's Gambit

Using Abra's Teleport, Tyson and his Pokémon appeared silently behind Mort. Charmeleon's claws gleamed in the low light as it struck Mort down with a single Slash. Eevee followed up with Swift, eliminating Mort's Paras in an instant.

"One down," Tyson muttered, taking Mort's ear as proof.

Okita, oblivious to Mort's fate, remained focused on the ongoing hunt. It wasn't until Charmeleon reappeared before him, claws still slick with Mort's blood, that he realized something was wrong.

"Charmeleon, attack!"

Before Okita could react, the Charmeleon lunged. Despite Okita's attempts to defend himself, Charmeleon's Flamethrower and Eevee's relentless Swift overwhelmed his Pokémon. The battle ended in moments, with Okita falling lifeless to the ground.

The Last Target

Tyson turned his attention to the final member of Mort's group. The unsuspecting trainer stood a short distance away, distracted by his Golbat's pursuit of a perceived target.

"This is it," Tyson whispered. His final hunt was about to end.
