Time Magic: Area Acceleration

Gaal, being an A-Class Mage, could defeat him physically even without using magic. He applied a cleansing spell to the slender staff in his hand and waved it, saying, "That reaction speed was good, but it's still not fast enough. And you shouldn't waste so many words when he's about to fall. Don't you know that taunting will infuriate the enemy? That's the lesson here."

Gaal's voice echoed as Gray's face turned slightly red, feeling a bit ashamed. "I understand, Brother Gaal." Just now, if he had used Ice Spear when Nizzu Bumes pounced in front of him, he could have killed him outright. Instead, he taunted him, calling him a little shorty, which led to a mutual defeat.

Seeing this, Gaal nodded and decided not to continue the lecture. Instead, he turned his attention toward the Demon Egg. When Gaal's gaze swept over, the members of the Tumultuous Second Guild shivered in fear and slumped down to the ground. 

Gaal's powerful mental strength erupted as he unleashed a psychic impact. Underneath the Demon Egg, aside from the little girl named Nano, all other members rolled their eyes back and fell to the ground with consecutive thuds. Gaal approached, and Gray rushed over as well.

Nano was somewhat scared, but as someone who had been captured, she had a mixed feeling towards Gaal, who had defeated the members of the Tumultuous Second Guild. Although she was afraid, she was more excited because this meant she could go home.

Gaal walked over and looked down at the Demon Egg, which was now calming down. He smiled at Nano and said, "Don't be afraid. We're from a legitimate guild. My name is Gaal, and this is Gray." 

As he spoke, Gaal raised his hand, and a green light shot into Nano's body. She felt warm all over as her magic power slowly restored, and the scars from her previous punishments vanished. Excited, Nano pulled back her sleeves to look at her smooth arms and said, "Thank you, esteemed magician."

Gaal nodded at her recovery and asked, "Can you show me your magic?" 

Nano looked confused and asked, "Use magic for you...?" 

Gaal smiled and replied, "That's right. Don't worry. Your magic won't affect me." 

Hearing Gaal's reassurance, Nano nodded blankly, saying, "Okay." She raised both hands towards Gaal. No magic circle appeared, but a power not meant for Gaal, the force of time and space, enveloped him.

The effect of this power on Gaal was minimal. However, when applied to other things, such as speeding up the Demon Egg, what should have taken ten years to hatch could now succeed in merely a few months. 

Gaal raised his hand to channel his magic, continuously absorbing and analyzing this magic. The essence extracted from the time magic was far more abundant than that of ordinary fire and water magic. The time magic that Nano awakened was due to her innate talent, but without a good master to guide her, the clueless Nizzu Bumes merely treated her as a catalyzing tool.

So, she had only the most basic time area flow. 

Moments later, Gaal successfully analyzed Nano's time magic and understood why accelerating the hatching of the Demon Egg required no massive energy. The Demon Egg took ten years to hatch because it absorbed magic at that slow rate; accelerating it meant needing a huge energy supplement in time, or else it would still absorb the original energy. 

An accelerated Demon Egg would still be malnourished. However, the Demon Egg that Nano accelerated showed no signs of malnourishment. It looked as if it were hatching normally.

This was due to the uniqueness of Nano's magic, which did not merely speed up the area but also brought all future possibilities into that space, including the drifting natural magic within it. Therefore, the Demon Egg could develop so steadily. 

For it, there was no sense of abnormality. The days accelerated by Nano matched perfectly with its absorbing days, rather than a simple speed boost leading to a depletion of surrounding magic, causing malnutrition. 

This time magic was distinct from Arceus' own time attribute, which also brought in considerable essence that was completely funneled into the Genesis Plate by Gaal. 

Gaal gestured for Nano to stop and asked, "Are you interested in learning magic and joining the guild?" 

Nano glanced at Gaal and then at Gray, who was slightly older than her. Hesitantly, she replied, "I want to go home..." She had been taken by Nizzu Bumes and was not an orphan. 

Thus, she felt somewhat resistant to Gaal's suggestion. More importantly, while the Tumultuous Second was indeed a magic guild, her memories of it were not very pleasant.

Seeing her hesitation, Gaal nodded, not forcing her. Instead, he placed his hand on Nano's head. A flash of light passed over her head, and she felt as if something new had been added to her mind, though she couldn't quite remember what it was.

Then Gaal released his hand and explained, "I've placed a sealing magic in your mind. It can conceal your aura. As long as you don't actively use magic, your magical presence won't be revealed, so you won't be targeted by bad people again. Additionally, I've stored some common spells in your mind. They will automatically unlock as you grow and your mental strength increases."

Nano nodded blankly and quickly bowed, saying, "Thank you." 

Gaal waved his hand and then looked at the Demon Egg. "This guy... has quite an intelligence."

Gray looked puzzled, asking, "Intelligence? Isn't it just an egg?" 

Gaal shook his head, saying, "When you and Nizzu Bumes were evenly matched, it was already preparing to act. That's why I came out. However, with my appearance, its aura hid again. It seems there are no unusual movements." 

Gray pondered this as he looked at the Demon Egg. He wondered how Gaal had suddenly appeared; it turned out there was a reason. Gray glared at the massive Demon Egg, saying, "Damn demon, it's quite cunning." 

"Should we destroy it?" 

Gray had no experience dealing with such things and didn't know what would happen if it were broken. So he looked towards Gaal, ready to cast magic with his hands moving to his waist.

Seeing this, Gaal waved his hand and explained, "To handle things like this, we should maximize our benefits. A dead Demon Egg holds no value. But a living demon... now that's different." 

Gaal raised his staff and pointed into the void. "Time Magic: Area Acceleration." 

A silver-white magic circle instantly formed beneath the Demon Egg. The essence of time, stemming from the same origin as Nano's time magic, surrounded the Demon Egg. However, it was different from the slow acceleration Nano had applied.

With the formation of the silver magic circle, the Demon Egg that previously required ten years to hatch suddenly expanded in just a few seconds, much to the shock of Gray and Nano. 

A demon arm over three meters long, covered in black sludge, burst out of the Demon Egg.
