CHAPTER 11
Valentina was still in shock as she heard the three sounds of a gun shot, she saw blood not afraid of the blood but shocked to know who had been shot just now.
Salvatore held his gun, and he was standing right in front of Valentina, while Valentina was shocked to see him holding a gun. Until she turned back and understood the man behind her wanted to kill her, and Salvatore came just in time.
"That was close" Valentina said in a bit of a low tone.
"More like irresponsible" Salvatore said with anger in his tone.
"Irresponsible? How was I supposed to know the bastard wanted to shoot me" Valentina said back but immediately looked away from Salvatore as he held a cold expression, and she couldn't look him in the eye.
"I don't have time for this" Salvatore said and immediately dragged Valentina away from the bathroom.
No one in the club heard the gun shot cause of the loud music, and most of the people we're high from both drinks and drugs.
Clara immediately saw Salvatore dragging Valentina, but she wasn't interested in that but rather pissed at Luna at the moment.
Theo was hitting it off with a guy who turned out to be Luna's cousin, but Luna didn't know cause she high on drinks.
"Let's go Salvatore got Valentina" Clara said in cold tone sending shivers to Luna.
Clara had to carry Luna cause she couldn't walk straight, and Theo and Luna's cousin followed.
Salvatore was already in the car with Valentina, and Clara got in another car with Luna and Theo and Luna's cousin did the same. To avoid anyone following them they all took different routes but in the end they reached the apartment.
Clara carried the drunk Luna to their bedroom, and Theo went to his room with Luna's cousin.
Salvatore immediately let go of Valentina and was leaving angrily when she stopped him with her words.
"You just gonna leave just like that" Valentina yelled at Salvatore stopping him at his tracks.
"I'm tired and I definitely don't want to speak to you at the moment" Salvatore said leaving to his room.
"Salvatore seriously you can't just be made at me, for no reason" Valentina yelled at Salvatore making he stop and turned to her angrily.
"No reason" Salvatore said coming closer to Valentina. She was scared but she stood her ground.
"You literally almost got killed today, cause of your carelessness. And you saying I'm mad at you for no reason" Salvatore said while glaring at Valentina.
"Why do u care though" Valentina asked in a low tone.
"What was that" Salvatore asked.
"Why do u care, yes I could have died but why do you care though" Valentina asked Salvatore, while coming closer to him.
"Why do u care so much if I get killed, do you have any feelings for me. Or do you at least care maybe just a little" Valentina said with hope in her eyes, coming closer to Salvatore almost kissing him when he stopped her.
"Listen here Miss Valentina Russo daughter of Vittorio Russo and Laura Russo. I don't care about you nor care about your feelings you understand me, my only interest is getting rid of my enemies and you are just a partner both in business and bed" Salvatore said and Valentina was immediately crushed with disappointment, she was holding in her tears trying not to shed even a drop.
"The sooner you understand that, the better for you. You are here for a mission and of course business, not here to find Love so better get your head straight" Salvatore said without a care of empathy. He was living when Valentina held his hand.
"I understand you don't feel anything for me now, but that doesn't mean you won't later understood" Valentina and Salvatore removed his hand left to his room.
Valentina was hurt by Salvatore's words, but regardless he was right about one thing. She was here on a mission and of course and she's going to accomplish it.
"It's only a matter of time before you realize it Salvatore, eventually those feelings you have kept locked in won't be locked forever" Valentina said and left to her room, to finally get the sleep she needed.
