Hurtful Words

"Dad, why does Amelia get to see Grandma first when we are all here waiting to take our turn? This isn't fair." Gwen pouted, looking up at her father, enraged that he hadn't scolded Amelia for insulting her mother and calling her indecent.

"Let's not argue about this, my dear." Senator Gregory spoke in a subtle tone, patting her on the shoulder "When Amelia comes out, you can go in and see your grandmother. Okay, sweetie?"

"Okay, Dad." Gwen forced a smile and hugged him dearly before releasing him to go sit beside her husband.

"Greg, I know you care about your daughter so much. But you know Amelia is the reason Nana was rushed to this hospital in the first place. Aren't you going to stop her from causing more harm? Do you want Nana to experience another attack?" Regina tried to reason with her husband.

However, instead of seeing reason with her, Regina was rebuked coldly by her husband in front of everyone.
