Chapter 17 : Return to Marvel, the Crimson Belt!

"Crack—" Jonny Blaze grabbed the locked gate with one hand and gently pulled it back.

"Bang!"

The gate slammed into the wall and fell to the ground.

The girl who had been huddled under the table, completely engrossed in watching TV, didn't react when Jonny appeared, didn't flinch when the man fired his gun, and didn't even move when the heat ray killed him. It was as if nothing else in the world mattered except the TV.

But the moment the gate was ripped away, she finally reacted. Slowly, she peeked out from under the table, turning her head toward the door.

As soon as the gate hit the floor, she lunged at Jonny like a wild animal. Her eyes were sharp and cold, and her hands—like claws—aimed at his eyes, throat, heart, and other vulnerable areas.

"Swish—" Her hands moved with a ghostly speed.

"Ding!"

"Combat detected. Reward: Self-Healing (Kimiko)."

Jonny glanced down at his already tattered clothes, now even more shredded from the attack, then looked at the girl who was charging at him again.

Clothes were just fabric—nothing to be too concerned about. But self-healing? That was invaluable.

He chuckled to himself. If she gave him the ability to self-heal every time, he could start a clothing line just for her to tear apart.

As her claws shot toward his throat, Jonny, who was much taller than the girl, suddenly shrank down to the size of a thumb, just as her attack landed.

This was thanks to the powers he had taken from the Elongated Man at the nightclub.

"You're so tall!" he teased, looking up at the towering girl before rocketing upwards and delivering a powerful uppercut to her chin with his tiny fist.

"Boom!"

The girl was lifted off the ground by the force of the punch. Her eyes rolled back, and she passed out.

"Whoosh—"

Jonny, who returned to his normal size in an instant, caught the unconscious girl in his arms before she hit the ground.

Beneath her disheveled appearance was a beautiful face—one that looked startlingly familiar. She was the spitting image of Katana from the Suicide Squad in the DC universe.

And she wasn't the only one. Billy the Beard also looked familiar. Now that Jonny thought about it, he resembled Skurge, the Executioner, from *Thor: Ragnarok*, the one who served Hela and later switched sides. The only real difference was that Skurge didn't have a beard, and his hair was... well, non-existent.

Carrying the unconscious wolf-like girl, Kimiko, back to the apartment of the Devil's Claw Girl, Jonny found that she had already packed. There wasn't much—just a single suitcase.

Seeing Jonny return with his clothes in tatters and a dirty, unkempt girl in his arms, the Devil's Claw Girl looked curious but held back her questions.

"Ready?"

"Yes."

Jonny held Kimiko in one hand, grabbed the Devil's Claw Girl with the other, and the three of them disappeared.

**Marvel Universe.**

In the master bedroom of the third floor of Nadutong Express Logistics in New York, the soft light illuminated the dim room as Jonny laid Kimiko down. He glanced at the dazed Devil's Claw Girl and told her to wait before heading to the storage room.

Inside the storage room was an artifact known as the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, which Jonny had found in the ruins of the New York Sanctum. This artifact, once used by the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, was powerful and allowed its wielder to control enemies perfectly.

The only downside? Those under its control were forced into humiliating poses.

In *Doctor Strange*, Kaecilius had firsthand experience of this when Doctor Strange used the crimson bands on him during their battle in the New York Sanctum.

"Jonny, is that you?"

"Are you back?"

Jonny stepped out of the storage room, the crimson bands in hand, and heard Jessica Jones call out to him.

"It's me. Come upstairs," Jonny responded, walking toward the bedroom. A few seconds later, Jessica came running up the stairs, dressed casually in a cool, relaxed outfit.

"You're finally back! Do you know how stressful these past few days have been? I couldn't leave the house during the day, and I was too scared to sleep at night. I was terrified someone would break in and steal something, and you'd never trust me again."

"I'm telling you, don't ever ask me to house-sit for you again!"

As soon as she saw Jonny, Jessica began venting her frustrations.

"If anything's missing, you can just replace it. And if you can't, well, you can just pay it off by sticking around. No need to worry." Jonny joked as he pushed open the bedroom door. "Come on in, let me introduce you to your new colleagues."

Jessica rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Should I thank you for being so generous?"

"No need. Just make sure you're loyal to me in the next life."

This guy is so infuriating!

Jessica glared at Jonny as he walked into the bedroom and followed out of curiosity.

Inside, she was surprised to find two women: one standing beside a suitcase, looking anxious and nervous, and the other lying motionless on the floor, her clothes filthy and her face hidden beneath grime and unkempt hair. She looked like a homeless person from the streets.

These were her new colleagues?
