Ningguang, however, fixed her gaze on her colleagues and replied, "Currently, the efficiency of Liyue's operations may never match that of the past."

The hall fell silent. The other senior officials understood that Ningguang spoke the truth. Despite their hard work, they could not fill the void left by the Archon's absence.

After a moment of silence, Ningguang continued, "It's understandable that we cannot measure up to the Archon. Let's move on to discuss some recent specific matters."

At that moment, Keqing, the Yuheng Star, chimed in, "Today, I met with Hu Tao, the head of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. She returned with a peculiar egg."

Though Keqing had only briefly glanced at the egg when she met Hu Tao, she later consulted Liyue's "Compendium of Things" and found that she couldn't identify the egg's species. Thus, the matter gained more importance in her mind, prompting her to share it with the other Qixing.

"A peculiar egg?" Ningguang looked at Keqing, slightly puzzled.

Keqing nodded. "I've searched through numerous texts but found nothing on its origins."

"There are many marvelous elemental beings in this land; it's normal to be unable to identify it," Tian Shu, the Tianxing Star, remarked casually.

The other Qixing seemed indifferent. There were too many strange life forms on Teyvat, some existing only within specific nations. An egg without an identifiable source didn't raise their concern.

Ganyu, having lived for millennia, felt confident in her perspective and asked, "What did the egg look like?"

Keqing recalled its appearance and replied, "It was about half the size of a person, with crimson-gold patterns on the shell."

"Hmm… I'm sorry, I can't recall anything about that egg," Ganyu admitted, shaking her head in thought.

Ningguang dismissed the topic. "We can discuss the egg later. Let's move on to the next matter."

The senior officials of Liyue resumed their discussions on other topics, not paying much attention to the egg. After all, as high-ranking officials, their time was precious, and they needed to swiftly address recent developments in Liyue.

Yet Ganyu couldn't shake her curiosity about the egg she couldn't identify, resolving to learn more about it later.

Just then, as the discussion among the Liyue officials wound down, Baiwen, Ningguang's secretary, approached the entrance and received some news. She walked over to Ningguang and whispered a report.

Ningguang nodded and addressed the other Qixing: "Regarding the egg that Keqing mentioned, we've received new information from Wangsheng Funeral Parlor."

The senior officials immediately turned their attention to Baiwen.

With Ningguang's permission, Baiwen continued, "A representative from Wangsheng Funeral Parlor has reported that the creature inside the egg has successfully hatched."

This news piqued the curiosity of the Liyue officials.

Keqing, surprised, exclaimed, "It has already hatched? That egg must not be an ordinary one!"

Since she had searched multiple texts without finding any reference, the creature inside could only be something extraordinary.

At this moment, Ganyu's eyes brightened, and her usually soft voice rose slightly as she remarked, "I think the egg might be related to the Adepti; the creature inside could possess a connection to them."

The other Qixing were astonished at Ganyu's assertion.

"Sister Ganyu, are you suggesting that the creature inside could be an Adeptus?"

Currently, with the Archon's departure, all the Adepti had vanished from the mortal realm. Even the Liyue Qixing could only glean insights into the Adepti's movements through Ganyu.

If the egg could hatch into a new Adeptus, it might allow the people of Liyue to feel a connection to the Archon's enduring spirit.

Ganyu immediately stood up, stating, "Then let me go."

The Qixing unanimously agreed; Ganyu understood the Adepti best, making her the most suitable candidate for the task.

As Ganyu made her way toward Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, inside, everyone gathered around Lin Yuan, curious about the newly hatched creature.

"Huan Huan is already the size of a rabbit right after hatching! I can't imagine how big it will get when it matures."

"It must need to eat something now, right? What do you think Huan Huan eats?"

"Given how extraordinary it looks, its diet must be something special."

Everyone suddenly became curious about what to feed Lin Yuan.
