First love, all over again

Louis Williams. They'd known each other in highschool, with both of them being a part of the basketball team, even if Louis had been 2 years his senior. Elias still remembered the first time he'd seen Louis- in a hallway. He'd been one of the popular kids, and had quite a lot of girls holding affections for him. This was the sort of man who got and rejected confessions on a regular basis.

He still remembered how ecstatic he'd been when he'd befriended the 'hot basketball captain'. Their friendship strengthened, but in eliyas' case, friendship wasn't the only feeling he held for the older boy. His feelings deepened as he found himself falling deeper and harder for the other. He loved the way his soft green eyes looked when he laughed. How his dark red hair looked so...fluffy. How he'd smile and how his dimples would show on his tanned skin.

But of course, he didn't say anything. Louis has always had girlfriends, and...Elias was afraid. He was afraid of the rejection and his sweet fantasy being broken. Their friendship was something he couldn't afford to risk, even if in the process, he was essentially killing the possibility of them being something...more.

So what if Louis was his in his mind only? It was enough for the lovestruck, awkward teenage boy that was Elias.

Soon, it was Graduation day for louis. And well...Elias did a daring thing. He poured his heart out in a letter. All his feelings, he laid his heart out in the most bare and vulnerable way possible in that little letter, and could only hope louis didn't break it. Beneath it, was a message- Come behind the gym building please.

He still remembered how he'd waited the whole afternoon there. But Louis never showed up. In the end, it was evening, and he'd dragged himself out of there, trying to stop the tears flwoing out of his eyes. He'd cried the whole night.

The next day, though, he'd let nothing show on his face. His face had been his usual, somewhat impassive yet easygoing expression. He'd been the first one to hand Louis flowers and congratulate him. He figured it'd be awkward so... He'd acted like nothing had happened. And Louis did the same. Like he'd never gotten the letter.

He'd also been the first one to take a graduation photo with him. Despite getting his heart crushed the literal day before, he couldn't help the slight skip his heart did when Louis had taken photos with him before his other friends.

Anyhow- The reality of the situation sunk in over the holidays. And Elias...did what he could. He ran away. Louis had already graduated, but still- Elias changed schools, changed his number, basically, cut all contact with anyone from his old school. That graduation day was the last time he'd heard from or seen louis- Until now, that is.

He blinked from his spot on the couch as the redhead walken in, a similiar expression of surprise and disbelief flitting across his handsome face. His face was still the same- a mischievous yet cold face, yet, the man in front of him couldn't be more different from the teenager in his memories. His hair were longer now, till the back of his neck. He was wearing an expensive looking three piece suit, and looked like a young heir of a large fortune, which, he was.

Elias was shaken from his stupor as the man's voice cut through the silence again.

"... Eli?" There was a hint of disbelief in his surprised tone.
