Chapter 7 – Entrance Exam

As soon as he finished speaking, the gate was opened. I quickly used my quirk to gain a head start from everyone. If the content of this exam was still the same as the original, I would have to either defeat robots or save people.

Unfortunately for me, defeating the robots seems like a tall order. My quirk might enhance my physical ability, but that doesn't mean I have a weapon that could support me destroying those metal giants.

Though it didn't stop me from trying.

When I entered, I saw some robots worth 2 and 3 points. There were also some worth 1 too, but I decided to ignore them.

'There are gaps in these robots' defenses.' I thought as I ran forward and swung my wooden sword at one of the robots' legs.

I hit its weak point, but it was not enough to make it fall down to the ground. Because I initiated an attack, the robot became aware of my existence and began to attack me back. Its large arm came toward me like a whip.

Without any hesitation, I leaped off the ground and dodged its attack. I landed on its arm and ran toward its head after I noticed a blinking light.

"Here goes!"

I slammed my wooden sword right at the light, and it shut down instantly. The robot fell to the ground with a loud bang, causing the earth to shake.

'The weakness of the robots is located below its head. There is a power supply unit or something.'

With this, I got 3 points. All I had to do was to steal the kill from those mobs. And my quirk was perfect for that.

'And I can save them if they are in trouble, getting me more points.'

I grinned as I moved toward a group of students who were struggling against the robots.

They looked surprised at me when I appeared in front of them from a black cloud and pulled them back before they could react.

"Are you okay?" I asked them before moving onto the next one. "Now get out of here!"

They stared at me for a moment before nodding and running away. They probably had their quirks but didn't use it right away since they were scared.

As for me, I got this 2 point robot for myself. I licked my lips and destroyed its power supply, which was located near the blinking light. I love UA in this world. They were more reasonable than the one in the anime. Even with weak quirk, people would be able to defeat these robots as long as they realized where to strike.

Putting that aside...

"Get wrecked!"

I slammed my wooden sword at the head of a robot that tried to attack me from behind. It didn't expect me to have such strength and didn't expect to be defeated so easily.

Youkai, Fear Power + Increased Physical Abilities

As soon as its light blinked out, it fell down.

I continued doing the same while trying to locate Yaoyorozu. I was curious how she passed the exam with her creation quirk. She was able to create anything from her body, but that didn't mean she was physically strong. She must have come up with some sort of strategy that let her pass the exam.

While looking for her, I found another person in distress. I quickly saved her and destroyed the 1 point robot.

"T-Thank you." She nodded gratefully at me and ran away without saying anything else.

I shrugged and continued my search for Yaoyorozu. She should be fighting too so...

Just as I was thinking that, I spotted a black cloud that was moving away from the crowd. A loud sound of destruction followed after it.

'Interesting.'

I smirked and ran toward it. The explosion was moving quickly.

By the time I caught up to her, I saw Yaoyorozu standing in front of a broken down robot with an explosive in her hand. She looked disheveled and a little tired but satisfied.

"Woah..." I breathed out as I walked over to her. "That was amazing."

So she used a bomb?! My wild guess was a cannon, but I guess she was more creative than that.

I secretly walked away after I satisfied my curiosity. I focused more on the test rather than her.

And with that, I gained more points until the time ran out.

It was a good thing I practiced using my quirk for all these months. I didn't have a bad feeling about this exam at all. Rather, I was sure I got more than 60 points.

I saw the large 0 points, but decided that it wasn't worth my attention and left it alone. It was not my intention to gather all the points anyway. Just enough to pass the exam would be enough.

Before long, the gate was opened again, and we were instructed to leave the battle center.

Many injured got taken away to the infirmary. Because I suffered no injuries at all, I was dismissed and was allowed to return home. The announcement about the result would be announced a few days later, so I decided to rest well until then.

And it came out positive. I passed the exam with flying colors and was accepted into UA University! A hologram message was sent with the acceptance letter. When I opened it, All Might's figure popped up and congratulated me on my success.

"Congratulations, Young Saiki! You have passed the entrance exam and will study at UA University in a few weeks! Don't let your guard down and keep training hard!"

With a bright smile, he waved at me before the hologram disappeared.

"Great."

As for Izuku, he passed as well, but he barely did so. He showed a little potential in his fights against me, and he didn't lack creativity and awareness. However, he wasn't experienced. The fact he passed this time must be because he found a good strategy like me.

"How interesting."

Now then, I have passed. What should I do before the first day?

I smirked and looked at my reflection in the mirror. My face was... way above average and my body was toned after all the training I had done. I was more than ready to fight villains.

A foolish question. There was only one answer.

"Let's hit the arcade to celebrate!"

I grabbed my wallet and walked out of the door with a smile on my face.

And who knows, maybe I would meet someone there. Someone interesting and mysterious like Himiko. Because meeting her made me feel a little excited. For the future that awaited me.

'What kind of trouble would I get into next?'
