Chapter 10: Little Fairy Doctor

The sky was azure blue, with the scorching sun high above, and distant white clouds curling on the horizon.

At the outskirts of the Magic Beast Mountain Range.

Swoosh~

A black figure flashed through the air, swiftly flying between the cliffs.

Behind it, a pair of black wings with a wingspan of about ten feet slowly flapped, adorned with purple patterns, giving off a mysterious and eerie aura.

"The feeling of flying freely is truly wonderful."

Wei Yang smiled with pleasure, enjoying the sensation of soaring freely.

After a short while, Wei Yang stopped at the top of a mountain, folding his wings and slowly descending.

"However, the consumption for flying is really quite significant."

"Even at my current level of a six-star Dou Practitioner, having cultivated a high-level Xuan class technique, and possessing dense and high-quality Dou Qi, I can only maintain flying for about one hour before most of my Dou Qi is consumed."

"Even if I try to restore some of it by breathing and running the technique while flying, at best, I can extend the flying time by another half an hour, leaving most of the Dou Qi depleted. Currently, it's impossible to be self-sustaining." Wei Yang sighed and shook his head.

"It seems that to fly for a long period, achieving self-sufficiency where the consumption and recovery are balanced, I need at least to reach the level of a Dou Master."

Wei Yang sat cross-legged, circulating his technique to recover the consumed energy.

As the technique operated, the Dou Qi within him slowly began to recover.

The recovery speed of a high-level Xuan class technique was quite remarkable.

For instance, now, the Dou Qi that was mostly consumed by using the flying technique had quickly recovered during a few breaths. Within just over ten minutes, it had almost fully recovered.

Comparing the consumption and recovery time to when cultivating the Chi Fire Art, the improvement was substantial.

It's no wonder that everyone desires to pursue higher-level techniques.

Moments later, Wei Yang opened his eyes, a gleam flashing in his pupils.

The consumed Dou Qi had fully recovered, and he even made some progress.

After leaving the cave, he hadn't rushed out of the Magic Beast Mountain Range but instead chose to stay nearby for secluded cultivation.

Now, four months had passed, and Wei Yang's cultivation level had returned to six-star Dou Practitioner.

Though still at the six-star Dou Practitioner level, his strength was incomparable to before.

The difference in strength and combat power compared to before was more than tenfold.

"This venture into the Magic Beast Mountain Range has been immensely rewarding. It's time to head back."

Wei Yang stood up, glancing towards the direction of Qing Shan Town.

Swoosh!

His black wings spread out, and with a movement, he turned into a black shadow, flying out of the mountain range.

The journey back was swift. After all, flying was much faster than when he first entered.

In just over ten minutes, he was already close to exiting the Magic Beast Mountain Range.

From a distance, he could vaguely see the outline of Qing Shan Town.

Reaching this point, Wei Yang chose to descend in a concealed forest, withdrew his wings, and walked out of the mountains.

He didn't want to be too ostentatious.

In places like Qing Shan Town, the strongest was merely at the second or third-star Dou Practitioner level, and there weren't many of them. Naturally, their knowledge was extremely limited, and they probably didn't even know about flying techniques.

If someone suddenly saw him flying, they might think it was Dou Qi Wings and believe a Dou Wang had descended.

A Dou Wang was a high-level entity in the entire Jia Ma Empire, let alone in Qing Shan Town.

And then they see the flying person is a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy!

Wouldn't that scare someone to death?

It probably wouldn't be long before the entire Jia Ma Empire was in an uproar.

How could that remain low-key?

...

Walking along the path trampled by mercenaries over the years, Wei Yang's steps were relaxed, and his mood was quite nice.

This venture into the Magic Beast Mountain Range had lasted nearly five months, and emerging now, the changes were significant, akin to rebirth.

His entire being felt elevated, with a hint of confidence in his eyes, and his aura had subtly changed.

This was the confidence brought by the change in strength.

An intangible aura.

Qing Shan Town.

"Just out of the mountains, no need to hurry back. Let's rest for two days before leaving," Wei Yang thought to himself.

Having stayed in the Magic Beast Mountain Range for nearly five months, now out, it was only natural to rest for a couple of days first.

So, he returned directly to the inn where he had stayed five months ago.

"Innkeeper, give me a top room, prepare hot water, and bring a good meal," Wei Yang instructed as he walked up to the counter in the inn.

"Certainly, sir." The innkeeper promptly agreed, calling over, "Ah San, come and show this gentleman the way."

"Yes, sir. Please follow me," the waiter responded, respectfully leading the way.

Wei Yang walked up.

"Hm?"

After a few steps, Wei Yang suddenly paused, his gaze shifting towards a corner of the lobby.

There, a beautiful young girl, looking no more than twelve or thirteen, sat alone.

The small girl's figure appeared somewhat thin and frail, dressed in a simple white dress, with a hint of weariness on her.

Her skin was fair, her small face slightly dusty, and her hair slightly disheveled. From her features, already beginning to mature, it was evident she was a true beauty in the making.

The young girl quietly sat in the corner, nibbling on a bun.

At first glance, she gave off a fresh, ethereal feeling, like a white orchid blooming silently in a secluded mountain valley.

Her petite body, already beginning to develop, was like a budding lotus.

What caught the most attention was the delicate waist accentuated by a white cloth belt, appearing to be just graspable.

She furrowed her willow brows slightly, a hint of weariness and somberness on her face.

"It's her!" Wei Yang's eyebrows lifted, his thumb unconsciously brushing the black ring on his index finger.

Little Doctor Fairy!

Ignoring everything else, just from that valley orchid-like aura and the striking waist, her identity was undoubtedly certain.

What a coincidence.

Just as he had come out of the Magic Beast Mountain Range, he happened to encounter her.

It seems the Little Doctor Fairy has just wandered into Qing Shan Town as well?

"What a fateful encounter," Wei Yang sighed.

Fate is indeed a mysterious thing.

When you don't intend to find her, she suddenly appears right in front of you.

As if it were destiny.

After taking the Seven-Colored Poison Manual from the cave, Wei Yang hadn't decided whether to give it to the Little Doctor Fairy, just planning to bring it back to Wutan City for research.

As for whether to give it to her in the future, he thought to decide later.

But just as he left the mountains, he coincidentally met the Little Doctor Fairy here, as if prearranged.

Wei Yang's eyes narrowed slightly.

"...Sir?" The waiter beside him, seeing Wei Yang standing still, staring at a little girl, cautiously reminded him after some time.

Wei Yang glanced at him lightly, causing the waiter to shiver in fright, lowering his head and daring not to speak again.

"Hmph."

Withdrawing his gaze, Wei Yang stepped away.

It was purely coincidental.
