Chiba smiled at Blackbeard. "You think you can stop me?"

Blackbeard spread his hands, releasing a thick mist of darkness that spread in all directions. His Observation Haki extended fully, Armament Haki coated his hands, and his small eyes burned with a fierce determination as he laughed wildly.

"Hehehe, if I can hold you off for just a quarter of an hour, my crew will have a better chance of escaping."

"Captain!" Van Augur, Doc Q, and Lafitte, who had been fleeing in the distance, turned back upon hearing his words. They quickened their pace, digging out Burgess from the rubble and fleeing Banaro Island.

Their plan was to retrieve Ace, who had been taken by the Marines, and use him as leverage to rescue their captain.

"A quarter of an hour? You overestimate yourself," Chiba said coldly, stepping toward Blackbeard.

"Black Hole!"

Blackbeard activated his Devil Fruit ability to its fullest, creating a massive black void with a ten-meter diameter beneath Chiba's feet.

The black hole swirled with dark mist, emitting a powerful suction force.

"Hee-ha-ha!" Blackbeard laughed, continuously expanding the black hole. Its diameter grew to nearly a kilometer, drawing in buildings from all around and crushing them into fragments.

But Chiba, using his Lightning Dragon Swimming Technique, sensed the currents of energy in the surroundings. He vaporized his form, escaping the black hole's grasp, and in a flash appeared above Blackbeard's head.

Chiba's body coiled back, right arm pulled taut like a fully drawn bow, his fist radiating with dense Haki.

With a sudden burst of force, Chiba's body snapped forward, his right fist launching like an arrow, aimed straight at Blackbeard's face.

"Dark Vortex!"

In a desperate move, Blackbeard crossed his palms in front of him, summoning dark energy to absorb and counteract Chiba's punch.

But the sheer power of Chiba's Armament Haki shattered Blackbeard's dark shield instantly.

Chiba's fist slammed into Blackbeard's face, breaking his front teeth, sinking his features, and sending his obese body flying. Blackbeard spun through the air, crashing through a dozen buildings before finally being buried under rubble.

"Monster… What kind of monster is this? How can a Marine be this powerful?" Van Augur cursed, running faster.

"How's the captain?" asked Lafitte as he ran.

"The captain… The captain was knocked out with a single punch," Van Augur replied, fear etched on his face.

"Impossible! The captain has the Dark-Dark Fruit, able to absorb anything. Even if Chiba is strong, he shouldn't be able to take him down with one hit," Lafitte said, struggling to believe it.

"That guy's Haki is on a whole other level. Mark my words, before long, the name Iron Fist Chiba will resound across the seas. Let's go. We need to get Ace back," Van Augur said, accelerating as they fled for their lives.

In the air, Peacock watched Chiba with an infatuated gaze, her eyes filled with admiration. "Mr. Ye is so handsome. When will I get the chance to truly tame him?"

Chiba shot her a look of exasperation. "Stop gawking and get Blackbeard out of there."

"Yes, Chief Chiba," Peacock giggled, flicking her whip to the ground.

The earth seemed to come alive, bricks and debris shifting to reveal Blackbeard's battered form.

Blackbeard looked wretched—his face was disfigured, all his teeth were gone, and his body was bruised and bloodied. His physique had saved him from a fatal blow, but he was still severely beaten.

Seeing Chiba approach, Blackbeard's eyes filled with terror. He scrambled to his feet and tried to run.

Chiba flashed forward, appearing above Blackbeard in an instant.

Grabbing him by the back of the neck, Chiba drove Blackbeard's face into the ground with tremendous force.

The impact exploded outward, shattering the ground in a hundred-meter radius and forming a crater over ten meters deep.

Blackbeard coughed up blood, his face swelling with red bruises, his entire body bloodied. He screamed in agony. "Stop! Stop! I'll tell you everything! I'll tell you where Ace is!"

Due to his unique physique and the effects of the Dark-Dark Fruit, Blackbeard could absorb a great deal of damage, but it also amplified the pain he experienced.

Chiba held him firmly. "No tricks. Start talking."

Blackbeard's face twisted with regret. "I was tempted by greed… I wanted to lure you into my crew, so I followed that bastard Akainu's plan."

"He said if I captured Ace, I could use him to draw you out of Marineford. So, I did as he said, and here you are. But your strength is beyond anything we imagined."

Chiba punched him again, cutting off his explanation. "I don't have time for your story. Where is Ace?"

Blackbeard whimpered, "I had a deal with Akainu. I bring you here, he gets Ace. He's already sent Ace to Impel Down."

"Impel Down?" Chiba's eyes burned with fury as he delivered punch after punch to Blackbeard's head.

Blackbeard sobbed, "My crew is on their way to retrieve him! Don't worry, they'll bring Ace back. Please, Lord Chiba, stop hitting me! Please!"
