Soul Mine (2)

The bats attacked Elion in unison, with two flanking him and one coming straight at him. Elion knew his best chance was to take down the weaker one first, making the fight with the stronger ones easier. 

Channeling void magic into his fist, he charged at the mid fourth-stage bat on his right. On impact, half of the bat's body disintegrated, killing it instantly. The remaining two bats didn't react to their companion's death and continued their assault.

Elion teleported to dodge, but he wasn't quite quick enough, and both his arms were grazed by their claws, leaving cuts in his flesh.

Elion gritted his teeth, holding back a scream, but the killing intention in his eyes intensified. The remaining bats spotted where he reappeared, but instead of charging at him again, they prepared to unleash their sound magic.

"Damnit," he muttered.
