I walked to the training ground feeling upset. It had been a few days since Hayden came and told me about Theo’s gambling debt, and he seemed to disappear from the face of Earth without even sending me at least one message.

His disappearance made me feel uncomfortable and upset. What was he doing that he couldn't have time to send me even a message?

Lots of possibilities came into my mind, most involving other she-wolves and it made me even more upset.

I went to the shooting range and began shooting the target only to be unable to hit the mark most of the time because my mind was occupied with Hayden.

Next, I went to the boxing area and began punching a sandbag. This exercise felt better than shooting. I could imagine that the punching bag was Hayden and channel my frustration to the punching bag.
