••• Charlotte’s POV •••
That majestic black wolf...
“Rhett!” Lexi yelled weakly.
Yes, no one would’ve mistaken that black wolf for someone else other than Rhett.
They came to save us? How did they know where to find us? Did Leo tell them?
Theo looked at the intruder and quickly shifted to his wolf form.
Gone was the elegant midnight blue wolf when we first met. His eyes were now bloodshot, growling menacingly at Rhett with saliva dripping from one corner of his mouth, full of killing intent.
Rhett, on the other hand, was calmer and still looking as majestic as ever.
Theo’s wolf lunged toward Rhett and a fierce battle ensued between them.
I pushed my body up with my trembling hands so I could sit down and watch them.
The longer the fight went on, the more obvious that they were trying to kill each other, or at least Theo’s wolf was trying to kill Rhett.
Even though Rhett was as strong as Theo’s wolf, or even stronger by a bit, I had no intention to let them kill each other.
