A Simple Plan.

All of a sudden, several things started to make sense.

'She's using time travel to attend classes?'

'Did the professors give her this item so that she could attend all the classes she's taken?'

Loki muttered under his breath while sitting in the shade under the tree, thinking of all the various ways in which Hermione could have come across a Time Turner, but in the end, he could only think of a single reason.

Given Hermione's personality it was unlikely she stole such a precious item and given how well-regulated even information about the item seemed to be it was unlikely that someone suspicious handed it to her for use.

'It is probably Professor McGonagall who gave Mione the Time Turner.'

'And maybe the entire staff is aware of her using it?'

'What a steal.' Loki thought he was amazed that such an item would be handed over to a student simply for taking too many classes.

'Maybe they only give it to model students who they know won't abuse the item?'

'But Hermione is friends with Harry and Ron, so I don't doubt 'Adam' has a hand in all this.'

'He's probably spinning up another adventure that involves them, time travel flavour this time...'

'But given how the Aurora Order is involved in the school this year, I hope nothing goes wrong.'

As Loki thought about all of this, he felt his potion begin to digest inside his body. About five per cent of the potion had been digested. That brought him up to about roughly forty per cent.

Getting up from his spot by the Great Lake, Loki dusted his robes and pants and made his way towards the castle.

On his way though, Loki found several seniors engaging in public display of affection.

'Tsk. Why can't they do it in a broom closet like they always do?'

'It isn't even Valentine's.'

'And how they have so much energy when all I can feel is lethargy?'

Although Loki wanted to do nothing more than return to his room to rest his mind, he walked patiently to the first 'magical floor' he had in his mind to test out his solution for the riddle that Salazar Slytherin gave him.

'Hmm…the first solution is for me to go to the third floor and spin my wand around in a circle three times while looking out the window towards the Black Lake.'

'Since three is a pretty well-regarded number in Arithamancy.'

Loki soon reached the third floor from where he began to search for a window that would allow him to look at the black lake.

He searched through all the classes but none of them had a window that would allow him to see westward from the castle, towards the Black Lake. All the classroom windows were pointed eastwards towards Hogsmeade.

Loki searched around a bit more until he came across a peculiar room he didn't want to step into without preparation. It was the only room on the third floor attached to the west wall with windows opening westwards, overlooking the Black Lake.

It was Professor Lupin's office.

Loki opened a random broom closet to step into but had to close it immediately since it was occupied by two senior students doing what the other seniors were doing outside.

Going to another closet, Loki first pressed his ear on the door to search for any sounds from inside, and only once he found no sounds leaking from inside the closet did he open the door and step into it.

Pulling out the Marauder's map he activated it and checked for Lupin's location, trying to figure out if the professor was inside his office room or busy elsewhere.

And to his disappointment but little relief, Professor Lupin was still inside his office.

'At least I didn't recklessly open the door to his office while he was still inside it.'

Leaving the closet behind, Loki then climbed to the Fifth floor, another magical number in Arithamancy, and repeated his process of searching for a westward window that would allow him to overlook the Black Lake.

Finding a few rooms, Loki picked one randomly to start with, the right-most room and stepped towards the window in the room.

Once by the window side, Loki pulled out his wand and swished it in a circle three times while releasing a bit of his spirituality through the wand to see if anything would happen.

'And….done?'

Loki looked around the room for any changes or results, but nothing seemed to be happening.

Not one to give up, Loki repeated the process across all the rooms on the fifth floor.

Except none of the rooms had any changes happen when he swished his wands in a positive circle three times.

'Maybe it's on the seventh floor.' Loki reasoned and used the moving staircases to arrive at the seventh floor.

The seventh floor was busier than the rest of the floors Loki had visited since not only was it a main floor that connected all the towers through large floating bridges, but it also held the entrance to the Gryffindor Common room behind a painting.

Several students were brushing past Loki, sending weird glances his way since he was a Slytherin student walking closer and closer towards Gryffindor territory.

Loki paid no attention to the looks he was getting and made his way through the small crowds of students to figure out a room that met his requirements.

Unfortunately for him, the only room that met these requirements was the-

'Gryffindor Common Room.' Loki thought with a little disappointment, apprehension and worry.

'Do I need to break into the Gryffindor Common room?'

'*sigh* I see no other method to be invited into the room, not even Hermione would do something so daring.'

'I guess I'll have to break in during the night when everyone's fallen asleep and then search for a window that overlooks the Black Lake to perform my experiment.'

'But why did Salazar Slytherin leave his test inside the Gryffindor Common room?'

'Is this a combined test? Something that maybe even Godric Gryffindor has a hand in perhaps?'

Loki walked back to the Slytherin Dorms, to make preparations for the night.

In the meantime, while he was preparing, Loki also thought about acting as the fortune teller he wanted to become and a plan that would allow him to figure out the spies that the Aurora Order had planted in the castle to keep an eye out for Gehrman Sparrow.

'It would be a little slow to earn credit among the students by performing small divinations. I want the spies to try and contact me to gain information about Gehrman Sparrow faster…'

'Perhaps I could advertise in Hogwarts Honest Mill to gain an initial base of customers?'

'*sigh* I can already tell Mione will be against this, but I guess I have to power through it.'

'If I have an initial base of customers and use them to attract the spies by leaking random bits and pieces of information about Gehrman Sparrow to them, I should have them trapped.'

'But what information should I leak about Gehrman Sparrow without letting them think I'm connected directly to him?'

'What if I add a line in the advertisement that is an endorsement to me from Gehrman Sparrow?'

'No…'Adam' might get confused if I did that since I used that name in the chamber of secrets…'

'What if I stage an incident with him and pretend like I'm looking for information about him too? And then after a while, I take down my request because it has been 'fulfilled' by someone?'

'Wouldn't that grab their attention? They'd want to come to me and gather information that I have wouldn't they?'

'And I could slowly give out more information as more and more spies pester me?'

'Nice…'
