LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN

Aki wiped the sweat from his forehead, it was finally a question he could easily answer.
"I've been training every day, Raikage-sama," Aki began, his voice steady. "The Lightning Chakra Mode came naturally to me after a few months, especially with the environment I was in—constantly moving, always under threat."
Ay crossed his arms, nodding. "I see. And what about your Byakugan? Its range… it has expanded, hasn't it?"
Aki grinned, though his body tensed at the memory. "It has. I pushed it to its limits on the open sea, where there were no landmarks to rely on. I needed to see everything, maybe I could find the village faster if my vision expanded"
"Now from 70km in diameter, it has grown into 150km in radius."
"Good," Ay said, his voice betraying a note of satisfaction. "But words aren't enough, Aki. I need to see it for myself."
Aki's heart quickened as Ay's lips curled into a knowing smile.
Aki followed Raikage into their usual training grounds, it was finally time for a spar.
"Show me everything you've got" Ay added, stepping back and crackling his knuckles. "Show me your LCM. You are not allowed to stop using it during the battle"
Aki took in a deep breath. He had sparred with Ay before but this time it was different. The Raikage might go full power mode just to test him.
"Ready?" Ay asked while smiling. He also activated his own lightning chakra mode. The air around him crackled with electricity.
"Always ready," Aki replied with confidence.
'Time to see the difference between someone who had it for years and myself.'
Ay charged forward right after those words left Aki's lips with blinding speed, he appeared beside Aki in an instant like a flash.
Aki barely had time to react, hastily throwing up a guard as Ay's fist connected with him. The sheer force sent him skidding backward, his feet grinding against the ground as he fought to regain balance.
Gritting his teeth, Aki quickly refocused, channeling chakra into his legs and fists. With a flash step and body flicker technique, he moved again—this time faster than Ay had ever seen him move.
"Flash Step: Lightning Jet Kick!"
Aki propelled himself forward, expelling chakra from the back of his lower leg like a burst of energy, similar to how Iida from My Hero Academia uses his engine quirk. The sudden acceleration boosted the speed and impact of his jutsu.
Aki's foot connected with Ay's arm, only for the Raikage to block effortlessly, using his lightning-enhanced armguards to absorb the blow.
Ay returned a punch in the gut which Aki avoided by pushing out chakra from tenketsu points in his feet taking to the air, doing a backflip in the air, Aki landed a bit further.
"Very good," Ay commented, "Keep coming at me with your new techniques."
Aki smirked at those words once again charging at him with his max speed. Aki engaged with Ay in a swift taijutsu battle with both combatants weaving through each other's attacks.
Aki's every technique was boosted by his flash step making it faster and deadlier, while Ay with his superior body kept up and easily weaved through this.
Even with all the boosts Aki applied to his techniques, he could not overcome the difference in skill, which further frustrated him.
Ay wasn't doing much better. Aki's techniques were threatening to destroy his defenses he was just keeping his poker face.
With a kick connecting shin to shin, both combatants distanced themselves.
"Ice release: Ice bullet"
Aki suddenly breathed in deeply gathering chakra in his mouth, and sent out one of the new techniques he had developed.
After his battle with Aisu, Aki realized he also had Ice Release, but it took time to develop the technique.
'When will I awaken wood release? Do I have to wait till I'm a pro at Kaguya's powers?' Aki had this fleeting thought when he awakened Ice release.
Ay was stunned at the sudden surprise, but he was wearing his chakra mode and was on guard so even such a shocking revelation did not affect him enough to be hit by those bullets.
"Hahahahaha," Ay started laughing foolishly, "I love surprises, keep them coming kid."
"I'm not yet that good at Ice release so, back to normal techniques" Aki replied and charged in for a taijutsu battle once more.
'Should I use Rasengan and my older jutsu?' Aki wondered as this was a test of battle for new techniques and progress, he had yet to show everything.
"Lightning Release: Twenty Zaps"
Aki put his hand over the ground and sent twenty lightning bolts at Raikage who let them hit him, showing total immunity.
Aki felt like facepalming, 'Why am I using lightning against someone with higher mastery than me'
"This is it for now" Aki admitted he ran out of new tricks at this moment but Ay wanted to have a battle at full power so he wasn't satisfied just yet.
"Rasengan when?" Ay looked confused at Aki, "Didn't I say come at me without holding back? Use. Everything."
"You sure?" Aki grinned at those words to which Ay just chuckled "Of course, lets get serious"
"Shadow clone jutsu"
Seven exact replicas of Aki appeared, and it was time for him to let loose finally. All of his clones went LCM.
'Do you want these clones to use Susanoo or not? The choice is yours' This act of his reminded Aki of Uchiha Madara's jeer against the five Kage.
The air around them surged with electric currents as both moved at the same time.
"Rasengan"
Aki used the most iconic jutsu from the series to hit Raikage in the face, but Aki, was in for a surprise as Ay countered with a Rasengan of his own and overpowered Aki.
Only for Aki to turn into smoke the next instant. It was a shadow clone.
Two clones appeared from both sides of Ay with Rasengan trying to hit him but Ay crouched down, making the two Rasengan orbs hit each other.
Ay threw his fist at both of the clones hitting them in the stomach and dispelled them in a single hit. He was holding back no more.
"Ice Release: Ice Bullets"
"Lightning Release: Twenty Zaps"
"Water Release: Giant Water Bullet"
"Wind Release: Wind Blade"
The remaining four clones used four jutsu at the same time, while Aki also activated his Byakugan to predict Ay's next moves.
Real Aki ran forward and started a taijutsu battle with Ay right after the Raikage had avoided every jutsu thrown at him and killed another clone.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each punch and each kick collided with bone-shaking force, sending shockwaves across the arena. The ground cracked beneath their feet as they moved, faster and more fiercely with each blow. The air hummed with tension and energy.
Aki was having time of his life during this battle, experimenting and using every jutsu he knew against one of the strongest shinobi around.
But despite Aki's speed and unpredictability, Ay countered every move with his superior experience, skill, and raw power.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu"
Aki resummoned his clones, the clones that appeared to had been dispelled by Ay were actually Aki actively dismissing them to cast an illusion of weakness.
Newly summoned clones rushed at Ay, engaging in a fierce taijutsu battle.
Ay was caught off-guard, realizing that these clones were different. Their strikes were faster, and stronger, and he couldn't dispel them with just one hit anymore.
The battle raged on for six hours, an endless storm of fists, jutsu, and wits. The arena was a battlefield of destruction, but neither of the combatants backed down. Their bodies pushed to the very limits, but their spirits remained as strong as ever.
Just as they were about to clash again, an ANBU, who had been observing the entire time, stepped forward and bowed.
"Raikage-sama..." he said in a low, urgent voice.
Ay, breathing heavily but still unrelenting, glanced toward the ANBU operative. A flicker of dissatisfaction crossed his face as he realized he had to leave.
"Another time, Aki," Ay said, his voice tinged with both frustration and approval. He turned, still crackling with residual energy, and began walking away, leaving Aki standing in the training ground.
'I'm close but yet so far' Aki sighed to himself, this one spar had shown him the difference in both skill and power.
Aki was determined to surpass the Raikage soon. He has to be strong enough to one-shot someone like this guy to have a chance at unlocking his Rinne-Sharringan.
Hashirama Senju's level of chakra control isn't so easy to achieve.
With renewed resolve, Aki left the arena. His next target was the Byakugan research lab, this was made at Raikage's orders to help analyze Aki's eye and to create an artificial Byakugan at Aki's suggestion later.
Of course, this lab was to be closed soon as part of the treaty with Konoha. Hiruzen had eyes everywhere, with Danzo gone the leaf village would only get stronger.
Aki after knowing Anti-Theft was working, abused this "bug" and told researchers to "Steal" his eyes for research.
Even though taking eyes out of his eye sockets was an unmatched torment, he still endured it for the sake of the village.
"Hi! Kuro-san" Aki said as soon as he entered the door. "How's the progress?"
"We've made some advancements," Kuro began, his tone cautious. "We've been able to map out most of the key characteristics of the Byakugan, particularly its chakra flow and optic nerve structure. But... we're still far from being able to replicate them."
Aki nodded thoughtfully. He had hoped for better news, but part of him knew that cloning the Byakugan wasn't going to be easy.
If replicating a Kekkei Genkai was so easy, the ninja world wouldn't have a single shinobi without one.
"So, no luck in cloning yet, huh?" Aki muttered, half to himself. "What's the main problem? Chakra pathways? Compatibility?"
Kuro hesitated. "It's more complex than we anticipated. The Byakugan's chakra pathways are incredibly intricate, and trying to recreate the flow without disrupting the natural balance of the chakra is nearly impossible.
It's like trying to rewire an entire nervous system. One wrong move and the whole thing collapses."
Aki scratched the back of his head. "I see. Well, we've still got some time before this lab is shut down. Let's push as far as we can."
With that said, Aki left the lab he was famished at this point and rushed to the closest restaurant to satisfy his growling stomach.
