As Kian and Jed turned back towards the muffled cry, an unsettling darkness greeted them. Of course, Kian's sight was useless in this lightless void, but Jed peered through his night vision glasses with growing unease.

He swept his gaze across their huddled forms, counting each head until a realization struck him like a physical blow. He voiced his concern in a hushed whisper that still carried an edge of panic. "Little Boss... where is Little Boss now...?"
