RENEE
I hadn't had dinner with Miles in quite some time, so I thought it would be a nice idea to order something and share a meal together tonight. But as I walked in, the scene before me made me wish I had stayed at work until midnight. I would have given anything not to be standing there, witnessing what I was seeing.
Miles pushed her away, his face filled with guilt, while I stood frozen, holding the takeout bag. My hand clenched around it as I fought the urge to throw it at him. I couldn't look at him anymore, so I turned my attention to her—Jessica.
With her arms crossed and a smug smile playing on her lips, she looked me over with the kind of arrogance that made my skin crawl. "Don't act so outraged," she sneered, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I've seen you around town with Adan Diablo. Honestly, with the way things look, you don't strike me as the faithful type. So maybe you shouldn't get too upset about him kissing me."
