AXELLE

It has now been precisely two entire months since Miles made the decision to take an indefinite leave of absence from his office, leaving Jay fully in charge of the company and all of its responsibilities, simply so that he could accompany me to Turkey for a complete and total facial transformation. 

This was not a short or easy commitment; Miles had put aside all his work duties and left behind his busy schedule, just to be here with me. My surgery was booked for next month, and many times, far more than I could even remember, I tried to persuade Miles to return to his business, to his employees who needed him. But every time I asked, he flatly refused, insisting that we must get through this experience together. He believed it was not something I should endure alone.
