A new beginning

Sophia was now determined to find exactly what happened to Ravi and Brain who was beside her nodded inwardly seeing her resolve.

Ravi was still lying in the mud but his eyes were open. He struggled to stand up and with a little more effort, he stood up on his feet.

Brain was still vigilant of him, while Sophia worried.

Sophia wanted to approach him but his previous action made her halt in her way and she just stared at him.

"R-ravi?" She called him but he didn't speak anything.

Then he just started moving towards the city. His steps were unsteady and he was moving as if he would fall in his next step but he walked and didn't stop.

"We can't let him enter the village, we have to stop him." Brain spoke.

"No, let him go," Sophia said.

"No, we can't. People will be in danger."

"Trust me on this. I don't think he will harm anyone."

Brain couldn't understand why she was saying that, if Ravi went inside and started attacking then not even the five reinforcements could handle him.

But Sophia believed he wouldn't do anything.

'There is something inside me telling me he won't harm anyone, but what is this feeling?'

Sophia also didn't know why she felt that and just followed Ravi who was heading towards the village.

She followed him right behind him. Brain also joined in as he still wasn't sure if Ravi would harm anyone.

They followed him, Ravi's steps were still unstable but he went on. He wasn't looking at his surroundings and just walked without knowing his destination.

But Sophia knew the way he was heading. It was the place she wouldn't forget ever.

Ravi's feet halted in front of a house and he just stood there, staring at it. The house was nothing big, just a two-storeyed house that could easily accommodate about five or six people.

"Whose house is it?" Brain beside Sophia asked.

"His home," Sophia replied and just looked at Ravi.

Ravi moved forward, slowly and unsteadily opening the gate and reaching towards the door of the house. He opened it and entered inside.

Sophia followed behind him and saw Ravi entering his room which Sophia was cleaning that morning.

Ravi reached towards the bed simply laid down on it and closed his eyes.

Six months later.

The sound of cutting the vegetables and the sizzling of the food could be heard inside the kitchen.

A girl wearing an apron, her skin fair, her blue hair tied in a simple ponytail that reached her waist, her small nose, and her pink lips made her look extremely dazzling.

There was a smile on her lips and her eyes were gleaming with happiness. She was Sophia.

Her current appearance was completely different than six months ago. The reason was, that she was able to spend most of her time with Ravi, though he didn't speak any word, well a few exceptions.

But more than that she was happy because tomorrow she would be heading to 'Pis Aller' academy with Ravi and her best friend Bibek.

Bibek was healed with the help of the reinforcements who came to help them during the incident with Ravi. And both Sophia and Bibek were training hard for tomorrow.

Sophia finished her cooking put them all in a tray and went upstairs. She opened the door and went inside it.

Inside the room, a boy was lying down on the bed. He had a solid height of 6ft, his hair was black, and had a body that could be called immaculate but the most attractive thing about him was his eyes which had rainbow-like 7 colors in them but there was no shine in them. He was Ravi.

Ravi was lying down on the bed looking at Sophia who just entered the room and stared towards the ceiling again lost in his contemplations.

Sophia was used to the scene before her and she put down the tray on the table beside the bed.

"Eat up Ravi." She said smiling charmingly.

After saying that she just stood there and looked at Ravi. This also happened many times during these six months, whenever Sophia left the food beside Ravi and left the room he wouldn't eat it.

So she stayed until he finished his food and only after she left for her training.

Ravi also knew that and he got up and ate his food. After finishing, Sophia took and plates and tray and left the room, saying.

"Rest well."

And closed the door.

When she was leaving, Ravi narrowed his eyes for a bit but again stared at the ceiling.

Sophia cleaned the plates put them in their original places and headed outside where Bibek was waiting for her.

"Let's go," Sophia said to Bibek and he nodded.

Both of them went to the same training ground where they first went to.

Bibek also joined her in her training, sometimes they worked on their stamina, sometimes they sparred together, and sometimes went hunting with Brain.

He was happy to see Sophia happy again after years and also meeting his friend after a long time, though he doesn't talk much different from how Bibek remembered Ravi to be.

Despite all that, Bibek wanted to tell Sophia something that he wasn't able to tell her till now. But today he steadied his resolve and spoke his heart out.

He halted his steps and looked at Sophia.

Sophia turned to him seeing Bibek stop and asked," What happened?"

Bibek didn't speak and stared at her, there was a slight smile on his lips. He took and deep breath and spoke.

"I am not going with you."

Sophia didn't understand and looked puzzled.

'Not going? Is he sick or something to not train on our last day?' was her thought.

Bibek again spoke to clarify himself.

"I am not going to 'Pis Aller' with you two. I don't want to be a third wheel between you two."

Sophia was confused at first about why didn't want to go with them but his second line made her realize the true reason.

"But Bibek-"

She wanted to say something but Bibek spoke first.

"I love you, Sophia." He confessed.

There was still a smile on his face and love and care in his eyes.

Sophia was stunned by his confession and couldn't speak anything.

Bibek looked at her and he expected this reaction and continued again.

"I have loved you for many years. I wanted to tell you this for a long time but was afraid of your answer, and even now I know what you will say but I...I just can't keep this feeling inside me anymore."

He continued again,

"And how could I not love you, you are beautiful, respect everyone, treat all people with kindness, and more than that though you don't show it you care for all the people you love, and I fell for that Sophia. But deep down I knew you loved Ravi, so I kept it all to myself but I couldn't anymore."

Sophia listened to him and realized how much he loved her but she already had someone she loved. She always considered Bibek as her best friend and although she loves him as well like a family she never thought of him as a partner and she always loved Ravi.

"B-but I -" Sophia wanted to explain to him but Bibek already knew what she was going to say.

"I know that you want to explain yourself and I don't blame you. I knew you treated me as a friend and you already loved Ravi and I don't blame you for that, truly."

Bibek put his right hand on Sophia's cheeks and looked at her lovingly.

"I don't need you to answer me. I already know it. That's why I won't be going with you but remember if you need me anytime in the future, just give me a call and I will be right beside you."

Saying that he leaned forward and kissed her on her forehead.

Sophia didn't stop him, tears were wailing in her eyes.

Bibek separated from her and wanted to leave.

But before that, he spoke, "Take good care of yourself and be happy with him. And don't cry because of me." He wiped the tears off his face and continued, "You don't look good with tears so don't cry, and...we will always be friends. So be happy and forget about today if you could."

Bibek then turned around, he also wanted to cry but he held on and then without looking back, he started to move. He could hear Sophia crying and he like a heartless man moved on.

'Be happy Sophia and forget about me. I shouldn't have confessed to her, we could still be friends but now I can't change anything.'

After he went far away from Sophia, he couldn't contain himself and tears started to roll down his cheeks.

Men sure don't look good while crying.
