"What?"
"Who are you?"
Diamante's face was filled with surprise.
Another strong fighter?
How could there be so many powerful opponents?
I thought the strongest force was what we just faced.
But I never expected there to be another hidden power lurking somewhere in the shadows.
Even without using Armament Haki, this guy could easily block my slashes.
Who are these people, with such strange abilities?
And they don't even seem to be Devil Fruit users.
"Hmm, me? I'm just an ordinary Jōnin, Kakashi Hatake."
Kakashi's lifeless eyes shifted slightly as he thought.
Although people in the village called him a genius and all that, Kakashi never thought of himself as particularly strong.
When compared to top-tier warriors, his strength might not be much to look at.
"Jōnin? What kind of title is that? You think someone with no name like you can stand in front of the Donquixote Family?"
"You really don't know your place. The Donquixote Family is far beyond your imagination. Prepare to die here."
Diamante's face twisted with anger, unable to believe that just anyone would dare to challenge him.
Even though this person has some strength, they probably have no idea how powerful the Donquixote Family truly is.
"Donquixote? Just a drowned dog, not worth mentioning."
Kakashi chuckled.
"What?"
In an instant, Diamante flew into a rage!
How dare anyone call such a great family a drowned dog?
His anger burned hotter, his eyes fixed on Kakashi.
Today, this white-haired man is my opponent. If I don't peel his skin and break his bones, the Donquixote Family's humiliation won't be washed away.
"It's been a long time since I used the swordsmanship my father taught me."
"But even if I'm a bit rusty, it should be enough to deal with you."
Kakashi glanced at the long blade in his hand.
It was a blade that could channel chakra, passed down by the Uchiha clan.
As for his father's blade, he left that behind in Konoha.
He didn't bring it to this world.
But to deal with the guy in front of him, Kakashi felt confident it wouldn't be a problem.
"You really don't take people seriously, do you?"
"When you die, I'll hang your head in the bullfighting arena."
"Your head will be a warning to all those fools who dare to offend the Donquixote Family."
Diamante's eyes were bloodshot, and his sword became unpredictable, floating aimlessly in the air, seemingly without any pattern.
The next moment!
Bang!
A slash suddenly fell.
Kakashi turned and dodged. Even though there was no pattern to the attacks, with the Sharingan, these movements appeared slow and predictable in his eyes.
The powerful advantage of his bloodline limit hadn't changed, even in this world.
No matter who it is, it remains a formidable force.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Blades clashed as Kakashi and Diamante exchanged blows.
The ability of the Flutter-Flutter Fruit was strange and unpredictable, but after a few exchanges, Kakashi already grasped Diamante's attack patterns.
In the ninja world, combat intelligence is key, while in the world of pirates, it's all about brute strength.
In the ninja world, every Jōnin isn't just strong—they're also among the most intelligent of their peers.
Kakashi is no exception. In fact, he's considered a genius in Konoha.
With the support of his Sharingan and continuous probing, he's figured out Diamante's tactics clearly.
The guy in front of him is like a blank piece of paper, with no secrets left to reveal.
Boom!
A massive crack appeared on the ground.
Diamante's thin, soft sword recoiled, and he glanced at the crack.
Then he looked around, trying to find Kakashi's whereabouts.
"Secret Technique: White Light Blade!"
Kakashi's voice came from above!
A silver light suddenly flashed down.
The blade in his hand was infused with a large amount of chakra.
The sharpness was such that even a brief contact with a stone would shatter it into two pieces.
If it touched a person, they could be split open in an instant.
"Hahaha, you fool! I'm a flag-bearer!"
"A straightforward attack like this can't possibly work on me."
Diamante laughed loudly, his body turning as thin as a sheet of paper.
He twisted and dodged Kakashi's slash, and as he did, he flicked his thin sword, sending it twisting through the air, aiming straight for Kakashi.
Clang!
Kakashi raised his long blade to block the strike.
The clash of metal sent sparks flying.
Snap!
Kakashi calmly looked at the broken blade in his hand.
He wasn't surprised; he had already noticed that this long blade wasn't suited for prolonged combat.
It was nowhere near as good as the thin sword that guy was holding.
It seemed like the craftsmen in this world could make better blades.
But the problem also lay with Armament Haki.
They hadn't mastered Haki yet, and that was the biggest disadvantage.
Rip!
Kakashi landed steadily on the ground and touched his shoulder, where his clothing had been slashed open, almost cutting into his flesh.
This is tough—it's like everyone in this world is a Might Guy.
And they're even stronger than Might Guy, in terms of strength, physical condition, and even speed.
This is Might Guy without opening the Eight Gates.
---
If Guy were to open the Eight Gates, honestly, he wouldn't be able to judge the difference between the two.
But in this world, taijutsu reigns supreme, and everyone's bodies are exceptionally tough.
A regular blade wouldn't do much damage.
The same likely goes for ninjutsu as well.
As a ninjutsu-type ninja, he probably has it the hardest.
"What's the matter? Now that you don't have a sword, what other attacks do you have?"
Diamante approached Kakashi with a wild smile on his face, eager to see his head hung in the Dressrosa bullfighting arena.
This guy should be at his wit's end now, with nothing left to continue fighting. How exciting.
"Then let me show you how a ninja fights," Kakashi said calmly, forming hand signs quickly.
Right now, Kakashi is the least skilled with swordsmanship. Giving up the blade has unsealed him.
"A ninja?" Diamante looked puzzled for a moment, then sneered at Kakashi.
Ninja? They're said to exist in Wano, but it's just Devil Fruit powers, nothing more. They're not real ninjas. Ninjas are just legends. Ninjutsu? It's all a lie.
"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!"
A scorching flame burst from Kakashi's mouth, instantly igniting nearby buildings in a raging fire. The flames continued to spread, rushing toward Diamante.
"Ninjutsu..." Diamante was too shocked to care as his cloak billowed out, blocking the approaching flames.
His cloak was originally made of steel, able to block most attacks, but it quickly heated up, turning red-hot and transferring the heat to his hands.
"Hot, hot, hot!" Diamante quickly let go, dodging behind a nearby rock. He tore off his cloak before the heat could burn his back.
"What the hell is a ninja? Is ninjutsu really real?" Diamante peeked toward the flames, but they were too thick, completely obscuring Kakashi's figure. He could only stay on guard, wary of Kakashi's next move.
"Ninjutsu does exist! Chidori!" A voice echoed, making Diamante shudder.
The next moment, it sounded like thousands of birds chirping.
"Bang!"
A large hand pierced through the rock behind Diamante, the electrifying light stabbing into his body.
"Ah!" Diamante screamed in pain as his entire body went numb, electricity coursing through him. He quickly distanced himself from the hand, retreating several meters. Glancing at his shoulder, he saw a small hole in his clothes.
Although it pierced his body, it didn't affect his movement much.
"Hahaha, I am the Flag Man with the Flutter-Flutter Fruit! I can change the weight and form of anything I touch," Diamante boasted, sticking out his tongue and laughing. "My clothes are made of special steel! Even if you can use ninjutsu, can you pierce my defenses? It's laughable."
He considered Kakashi a joke. Despite superhuman abilities, he couldn't penetrate his defenses. Ninjutsu was powerless against his outer defense, merely numbing him a little. Nothing more, nothing worth mentioning.
Kakashi was slightly taken aback by Diamante revealing all his abilities. Was this how people in this world fought, by revealing all their intel? He suddenly felt out of place. Should he explain his own ninjutsu too? But a ninja's abilities are as good as dead once they're exposed.
"I see! That's quite an unheard-of ability! But why do you think I can't break through your defense?" Kakashi's dead-fish eyes remained unchanged as he guessed that the other guy had some trump card, hence his confidence.
"You're really starting to piss me off," Diamante growled, seeing no despair in Kakashi's eyes. In anger, he extended his sword, piercing through Kakashi's unguarded body in an instant.
Diamante was overjoyed, never expecting Kakashi to be so defenseless. Finally, he could turn the tables and reclaim the advantage given to him by Pica.
"You..." Kakashi looked down at the sword in his chest, staring at Diamante in disbelief. He tried to pull it out, but the strength was overwhelming.
"Now you know what happens when you cross the Donquixote Family," Diamante said, relishing Kakashi's despair. The more Kakashi had belittled the Donquixote Family before, the more despair he should feel now.
"Bang!" Kakashi's body suddenly exploded into a cloud of smoke, disappearing before Diamante's eyes.
Diamante, who was laughing just a moment ago, froze, his face filled with disbelief.
"How is this possible? It was supposed to be the real one..."
Before he could react, the ground beneath his feet shifted. A blinding light shot out from the soil.
"Lightning Blade!"
The lightning flashed, and a large hand pierced through Diamante's body, blood gushing out.
Kakashi looked coldly at Diamante, pulling his hand out and stepping back a few paces.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu. Even your Observation Haki should've detected the same aura as me," Kakashi said calmly. "You focused all your attention on my shadow clone, which allowed me to reach your feet so easily."
"This is the difference in battle experience. Your combat skills aren't even on par with a kid fresh out of ninja school," Kakashi said, speaking the truth. The opponent seemed to rely on brute strength, never considering strategy.
How does this world feel like everyone's just like those brutes from the Land of Lightning? But even those brutes are far better than these guys.
"Cough, cough!" Diamante tried to cover his wound, but a hole like this? Unless he had the terrifying vitality of Whitebeard, he couldn't last much longer. Now, all he could do was wait for death.
He never thought ninjas were real. He always thought they were just stuff from comics, like robots. But now... his body collapsed, straight and stiff, his face filled with regret as if there were still many things he hadn't accomplished.
Kakashi stepped forward to check his pulse, finally relaxing after confirming Diamante was dead. He slumped to the ground, exhausted from the battle. Using his father's swordsmanship, shadow clone, Lightning Blade, and maintaining the Sharingan had taken a lot out of him.
Now Kakashi missed Guy. If Guy were here, this world would be the place for him to shine. Everyone here thinks like Guy, except for his loyalty to Konoha. Kakashi sighed, deciding not to think about Guy anymore. Once this battle was over, he would need to learn Haki properly.
Next time, no enemy would be able to challenge him.
Kakashi led Diamante away. Raijin's steps did not falter as he continued toward Doflamingo. Although he hadn't unleashed Conqueror's Haki, his presence was no less intimidating. His immense chakra spread out, crushing those around him. The terrifying pressure left everyone in his path unable to even lift their weapons.
"What a terrifying monster," was Doflamingo's only comment on Raijin.
