Responsibilities

Jared still had a hard time believing that he and Cora were having a baby, but he believed Ian and Margo. He loved Cora and would love his child. He would never abandon them even when the need for vicious murder tried to force his hand. Jared would learn to suck it up whether he liked it or not.

Jared walked back into the living room and handed Cora her glass before kissing the top of her head. She would keep him steady even when it seemed impossible. There was no way he would let her deal with this alone nor would he put them in danger to sate his anger.

Cora turned epic fail videos on the television while they drank their dinner. An hour later Cora bundled up before stepping onto the porch and lit a cigarette. She was anxious that the pain would start again at any time. She was also exhausted by too many days of too much nonsense.
