"Are you going back to Bear Island?" Reagan asked as he exited the Solar along with Lyanna.
"Yes, I have to report to my father about our success, and I have to see my mom again." Lyanna said this as both of them diverted from where Alys was going with Sarra.
"Alright, that is good. Take Fenris with you if you want to." Reagan told her as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You do know that she's only letting me ride on her because, in her eyes, I am your mate, right?" Lyanna asked him with a smile.
"That, I know. That is why, when you come back to ride with me to the South, you will be getting your own bonded animal. As a matter of fact, your whole family will get some animals to bond with you." Reagan told her.
Surprised by what he said, she stopped him in his tracks and asked, "Are you going to do what I think you are going to do?"
"Yes, dear. I am going to magically bind some bears to your family, just like the Starks have our Dire Wolves." He answered her question while looking into her eyes, showing that he was not lying about it.
"Won't that anger the other Lords?" Lyanna asked in worry, even though she was happy for what he said.
"No. This is a trial; well, that is what they will hear, and when the effectiveness is proven, each great house will be given a bonded animal or bird as per their wishes. I am going to make the North more powerful than before." He replied without wavering.
"Isn't it already powerful with your wolves?" Lyanna asked as they started walking again.
"It is. Then imagine this." Taking some twigs that were scattered around the ground, Reagan gave them all to Lyanna and taking one twig, he broke it easily "If the Starks are the only powerful ones in the North, if a day comes where the Starks are no more, then the North will collapse."
Throwing away the broken twig to the side, he took the remaining twigs and tried to break it like he did with the single twig. And it didn't break like the previous one, so handing them to Lyanna, he said, "But if we strengthen the other lords along with us, the North will stay strong even if there are no Starks left."
Closing her eyes, Lyanna sighed and asked him, "What if there is a rebellion like the Greystarks?"
"There won't be; I can promise you that." Reagan said with a smile.
"And, how can you promise that?" She asked as she threw the sticks to the side.
Stopping in his tracks, he stood there a few seconds in a thinking pose, clicking his index finger, and thumping. He said, "Magic!"
"I should have known." Lyanna muttered under her breath.
Smiling at what she said, he approached her and wrapped his hands around her, and he dragged her to an obscure corner of the castle. In the darkness, he gave a light kiss and said, "Well, you should have known."
After saying that, he kissed her deeply for a few seconds, and when he separated his lips from her, he whispered to her, "You know, why don't we marry before going to war?"
Surprised, she looked him in the eyes and asked, "What? Why?"
"Just because. I was planning on marrying you after our expedition beyond the Wall, and I don't want to go to war as a virgin." Right after that, he started to kiss her neck slowly and delicately as his hands started to wander around her back.
"Ah~~" Lyanna started to moan lightly as he kissed her nape and grabbed her buttocks with his hands.
"Well, well, well, I haven't heard you moan like that since I visited the Bear Islands." Reagan said as he hugged her tightly.
Blushing what he said, she told him as she hugged him back, "Do not bring that up. And don't do this in public. I don't want anyone to see us."
"I won't." Agreeing with her, he kissed her once more and said, "I won't be seeing you off. And inform Lord Mormont about the marriage. If he agrees, then we can do the ceremony before going to war."
"Alright. I will inform father. And I won't be taking Fenris with me to the Bear Island; she belongs to House Stark." She gave him a kiss, squeezed his buttocks with her hand, and went away with a smile on her face while swaying her hips from side to side.
"I'm a lucky man." Muttering to himself, Reagan went towards the den in Godswood.
He saw Floki sitting beneath the Weridwood tree with his eyes closed, seemingly in a relaxed state. Not wanting to disturb him in any way, Reagan entered the den and went straight towards the place where he had opened the permanent entrance to the hunting dimension.
Passing through the gate, he stepped into the hunting dimension. Looking around for a bit, he noticed that he was surrounded by tall grass that reached up to his midsection. "This dimension always changes into different terrains so that Fenrir and the others will be accustomed to all the terrains."
"PHEEEEEE!" He whistled, and in the distance, he saw Fenrir raising his head from the tall grass. As soon as Fenrir saw him, he ran straight to Reagan swiftly, closely followed by his pack. Reagan started to give out pats and scratches to each wolf. When that was over, Reagan asked Fenrir, "Where is the thing that fell from the sky?"
"Woof!" Fenrir lied on the ground immediately so that Reagan could climb over. Obliging what Fenrir wanted him to do, Reagan climbed over his back. With Reagan on his back, Fenrir started to run in the opposite direction of the entrance.
After traveling for couple of minutes, Fenrir stopped near a crater, and at the center of crater there was a large black boulder with dips and rises all over it. Climbing down from Fenrir, Reagan walked into the crater and went straight to the boulder. Touching it, he used his psychometry to identify what kind of boulder it was. A second later, he removed his hand from it and muttered, "Just as I thought, it's a meteor. I have to make sure that this rock is sanitized before I bring it back to the North. I don't want any space virus to spread amongst my men."
With a wave of his hand, he cleansed the boulder, and looking back at Fenrir, he said, "Buddy, I need you to break it down for me."
"Woof!" Jumping down into the crater, Fenrir increased his size and covered Reagan with his body. Fenrir swung his paw at the meteor, breaking it into four equal, small pieces. As the deed was done, he looked back at Reagan, waiting to be praised.
Chuckling at Fenrir, Reagan said, "You did good, bud. Thank you. Now, can you help me move it from here?"
"Woof woof!" Fenrir barked at him in agreement, started increasing his size to the maximum, and took all four pieces in his mouth before allowing him to climb over him. A couple of steps were all it took for Fenrir to travel back to the entrance of the hunting dimension.
"Buddy, put your head through the entrance and leave it outside. I'll take care of it from there." Reagan told Fenrir as he slid down from his back.
Fenrir did as Reagan told him and left the four pieces in the den. When he pulled his head back into the hunting dimension, Reagan thanked him, "Thank you, buddy, and if you see any more space rocks in here, don't forget to tell me."
Patting Fenrir and saying farewell to the other wolves, Reagan exited the hunting dimension and looked at the four pieces of space rock in front of him. "I should carry them one by one to the smithy."
Taking one piece, he left the den and went straight to the smithy, and when he entered the smithy, he ordered out, "Everyone stop what you are doing and take leave for a couple of weeks."
Everyone stopped what they were doing, and the master of the smithy told Reagan, "My Prince, we are preparing the weapons for the war. If we stop for a couple of weeks, then the weapons won't be ready on time."
"We will only march in two months, so you all have the time to finish the work. Now everyone out, that's a Royal Order!!" When Reagan said that, the master closed his eyes and sighed in defeat.
"Alright. Everyone, stop what you are doing and let's leave. We will continue our work in a couple of days." As the master said, the smiths in the smithy started to pack up their things and started to exit the smithy. The last one to exit was the master, and he told Reagan as he went out. "Good luck, my prince."
"Thank you. Inform my father that I'll be using the smithy." Reagan told the master with a smile, and the master of the smithy nodded back at him in agreement.
Reagan entered the smithy and stashed the meteor piece in a corner. After placing it securely, Reagan went back and forth between the den and the smithy three times to store every meteor piece in the smithy.
"Alright, let's melt this baby down."
For a week, Reagan was in the smithy and only went outside to eat his meals on time; otherwise, he spent his entire week inside the smithy removing the impurities from the meteor. He extracted the meteorite iron from the four pieces in five days, and he spent the last two days purifying it further using his rune magic and turning it all into ingots.
From the eighth day to the eleventh day, he was shaping the ingot into the ideal shape of an axe head, the combination of an axe blade and a hammer head. Using the hammer and anvil to shape one end of the steel into the blade, he flattened and tapered the metal to create the cutting edge using the Valriyan method. When the blade was formed, he started to shape the other end into a hammerhead. He used different techniques to form a flat surface for the hammer side.
On the eleventh day, after he finished making the axe head, he started to carve runes on the finished product. He made sure to melt the ice shards he had gotten from the dead White Walkers on the runes that he had carved. He also added his blood to it so that he could control the coldness more easily.
Looking at the axe head laying on the anvil, Reagan muttered, "It's coming together. Now that that is done, I need a handle that can withstand the coldness from the axe head; I can always carve the runes on it."
After shaping, he let the steel cool slowly in a forge and annealed it by covering it with ashes and sand. Using the sharpener, he started to refine the blade edge and the hammer face. Making sure that the blade is sharp and the hammer face is flat as desired.
"Next is the heat treatment." After drilling a hole in the center of the axe head to fit the handle, he started the heat treatment. Hardening was the first step. He heated the blade and hammer head to critical temperature, which is around 1500°F/815°C, and then quenched them in oil. The next step after hardening was tempering. Heating the axe head again at a lower temperature, around 400–500°F/200–260°C, he made sure to reduce brittleness.
After the heat treatment was done, he started to do the woodwork on the sturdiest wood in the North, and he carved runes on them from one end to the other. He also added metal plate at one end, where he will be holding it. Placing the wood into the slot of the axe head, he tightened it with some adhesive substance and a wedge that locked it place. The final weapon was forty-five inches in size, a two-handed weapon that can give out blunt and slash damage.
Swinging it around in the smithy, he noticed that the blade was releasing some icy aura, and whenever he struck the dummy in the smithy for weapon testing with the hammer side, the part where it struck was frozen.
Seeing all the effect, Reagan said, "A fusion of two mightiest weapons. The Stormbreaker and the Leviathan. A weapon made for a King." Squinting his eyes, he asked himself, "Now, what should I name this one? Do I go with Stormbreaker or Leviathan? Or should I go with a new name? Decisions, decisions."
