Furia

The nightsister named was astonished. The crowd all stepped away from Furia.

I could see the shock and built up anger. First, she was forced to give up her daughter. Now she is going to be forced to give up herself. I can only imagine how her emotions are in disarray.

Well...I can sense them through the Force, but that isn't the point.

I continue where I left off, "However, I do not want you to come with me just because Mother Talzin decreed it. That would be boring, and disappointing. As while I have chosen you, that doesn't mean I'm just going to take you. I'll allow you a chance to remain here. We will fight each other in the jungles of Dathomir. I will take off my armor. I will discard my advanced weapons. I will only wear clothing to cover my groin and use a bone knife. I will not even use the Force. If you defeat me in the jungle, you can stay. If I defeat you, you become mine. This challenge will be the only chance you have. Do you accept."

Furia glares at me, "I accept. I want to chose the location in the jungle we will fight at though."

I click my mandibles, "Agreed. Choose a location. I will give you two weeks to prepare. Then we will enter the jungle in the morning after. Where one will defeat the other through any means. Good luck dear Furia."

With that, everyone was dismissed. Furia went off to prepare. I was shown to a guest abode by Talzin.

Talzin also took this time to tell me a bit about Furia. Apparently, Furia is a very capable witch. She just doesn't use witchcraft, or enchanted items when she goes out with her team unless they deploy for a serious issue. As it is her way of not over relying on witchcraft.

I should expect her to use her natural abilities along with her witchery to her fullest capacity.

2 weeks and night later....

I was in a God-forsaken jungle with a bone knife and no clothes except the ones guarding my dignity.

Furia and I had entered at different points. Which gave me plenty of time to trap the hell out of this jungle. So I began my work. First, I made stone knives. Then I started making ropes, wood traps, and net traps. I made lethal and non-lethal traps. If Furia is everything I think she is, she'll survive it all. Then I wait.

While waiting, I created fake camps, aroma pouches to confuse the nose where scattered around. Local flora makes strong and foul stenches.

I was perched in a shadow between three trees.

In the afternoon, I finally caught a hint that Furia had entered my range. As I saw a trap be set off in the distance. I was outside the trapped zone currently. I was not waiting in the center. I just set up everything to make Furia think I was defending.

In reality, I'll be creeping up behind her as she makes her way through.

Swinging logs, pitfalls, spikes, darts, nets, swinging spike boards, I had it all. Furia was either disabling or safely setting off the trap as she cleared a safe path. She was not falling for the camps either. Although I made them look like they were made to be discreet. I even made it hard to discover them to make them all more believable.

I was moving silently through the trees, making no sound. However, Furia actually sense me this time. She rapidly shoots an arrow bolt in my general direction. As she does not know my exact location.

She shouts, "You set up these traps and tricks! Are you trying to test me? I don't need your test. I am tested! You better get down here and fight me. Or believe me, I'll hunt you down!"

My response is throwing a wooden spear with a fire-treated tip at her. She raises a glowing green hand and the spear is stopped by it, before disintegrating into nothing. She is a capable witch indeed.

Now she knows my location. So I take off. She chases me from the ground. I lead her into another trap. Although it cannot be called a trap. More like taking advantage of the jungle. I found a group of rotted trees that could fall over at anytime.

I had strung together some vines across all the trees. One good pull, and I can knock them all down. A trap that isn't a trap. I don't think she realize what I'm doing until she is dodging trees. She follows behind me closely. Although her movement is measured. She suspects I am up to something. Which is correct.

I lead her into the tree trap, and pull on a vine. The surrounding trees shake and crack. They all start to fall. Furia is genuinely surprised. As she runs, she dodges the falling trees. She loses sight of me as I descend to the ground with the falling trees. The dust being kicked up isn't helping her see me either.

When the falling stops and before the dust settles. I make my move.

I leap from behind a fallen trunk and tackled her to the ground. I have a lot of height and weight on her. So I take her down easy.

She brings out some paper charm and I am repulsed off her through the air. I land on my feet and take cover in the dust clouds again.

I swing around and attack again. This time I attack with a long branch I am using as a staff. She dodges before defending with a vibro-blade. An enchanted one at that, as it gives off greens wisps. The vibro-blade cuts the branch down to size. I chuck the remaining length at her face as a distraction. Then I go for the knife.

I get my hand on her wrist. I squeeze and twist, making her let go of the knife. I scoop it up with my other hand and then toss her to the side. Furia only gets angrier as she recovers.

She brings out throwing knives coated in poison to try and stop me. I dodge all of them, except one. One, I actually catch and keep for later. I don't know what poison it is, but I'm sure I can make use of it.

The dust clouds begin to settle and I take my leave to reset myself. Furia looks for me when the dust settles, only to huff in anger realizing I had left. Taking a throwing knife and her enchanted vibro-blade with me.

I don't know how she'll track me now, but I am interested to see how she'll pick up my trail.

Not too long later.....

I get chills on the nape of my neck and dodge. An arrow bolt flies past me. I click my mandibles as I look at the shooter. Furia seems to have found a way to track me. Seeing her eyes glow green with a mist answers my question. She used witchcraft to find me, how archetypical of her. Not bad though. Such skills impress me.

She starts to strafe as she shoots her bolt bow at me.

I dodge the shots while closing the distance. Once I get too close, she puts away her bow and uses magic on her hands. They become clawed and she starts to swipe at me. I can't help but tease, "Here kitti kitty, haha."

Which only makes her attack more wildly. Which makes her slip up her technique. Which allows me to deliver a heavy front kick to her stomach. She is stopped in her tracks and falls to her knees. She starts to throw up, and then falls on her side. Finally, she begins to cough up a lot of blood.

She is immobile and curled up like a ball.

I grab the top of her head and lift her up to my eye level. She coughs up blood and some of it gets on my chest. I am unbothered by it though. As she dangles in my grasp I declare, "You are defeated Furia. You put a fine fight, but my strength is far beyond even elites like you."

I put her down and she rests on her knees. She looks up to me and asks with a dejected voice, "What now then?"

I squat down, "Now, you become my woman. Do not worry though. You'll not be mistreated in the least. It is essentially a marriage if you want an equivalent to this situation. I'll make you strong, more powerful. You'll apart of something great. Great enough to upturn the galaxy. That doesn't sound so bad, does it?"

Furia looks down and thinks. She breathes out a tough chuckle, "No, it really doesn't. Now that I think about it. If you had come for me a little earlier, I wouldn't have been forced to give up my daughter either. I used to see men as weak, just breeding stock. Now I see different because of you."

Furia scrunches her brows, "Fine...I'll be your woman. I've been fairly bested. Since you say you'll be good to me. I'll try to make the best of it then."

"Great.", I say. I then pick up Furia in a princess carry. Furia blushes at being carried like this. I then use Force Heal on her, to fix up her internal injuries and scrapes.

I laugh boisterously, "We'll make a great team Furia. Time to let your sister now the result. Then I'll take you home."

Furia didn't say anything, but stayed silent in the carry with a small smile.

I was happy that this method of winning her over succeeded. Fair is fair after all. I knew giving her respect as a warrior and witch would work. I didn't even have to use the poison knife.
