The car rolled to a smooth stop in front of a building Damon knew all too well.
the sight of it made them feel calm and focused, like they were going back to a place where they could work hard and make progress.
While still connecting to reality.
Damon opened the car door.
He looked back at Victor, who was still sitting behind the wheel with one hand on the steering wheel.
"Thanks for the ride," Damon said, nodding toward his mentor.
Victor nodded back, a small smile on his face. "No problem. And about what we talked about," he added, his tone more serious now. "I'll call you once I find something suitable. For now, keep your head in the game. Focus on your training."
Damon gave a quick nod of understanding. "Got it. Appreciate it."
Victor watched as Damon shut the door and walked toward the front door. His sure step showed how much of a fighter he was becoming.
He was feeling himself, confident.
